DRB has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, DRB already has more than 800 staff in Ukraine and will continue to expand significantly in 2024, for rapid emergency response in the sectors of social protection, livelihoods, housing and non-food kits, humanitarian demining and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), through direct intervention and support of authorized persons and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The DRC will continue to implement its suite of long-term solutions to address challenges under changing circumstances.
DRC is currently seekingjunior specialist in security issues to work in the city of Sumy with frequent business trips within the borders of Sumy region.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Help in the implementation of security risk management systems in the DRB (SRMS) under technical supervision.
- Monitor information networks and accordingly update the "Traffic light system".
- Proactively monitor MOSS and provide recommendations on improvement/implementation of major changes.
- Conduct briefings and provide up-to-date status information to the security team.

- Communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), threat assessments and other policies to non-native English speaking employees with support from technical specialists on security issues.
- Assess the potential impact of the changing context on DRB program activities.
- Build a network of local contacts for a deeper understanding of the context.
- Provide support in on-site security assessment and identification of new office space, guest houses, warehouses and other facilities as needed. This may include regular safety audits such as checking fire extinguishers, safety supplies, first aid kits, emergency communications equipment, physical security elements (MOSS) etc.
- Provide support in carrying out security risk assessments (SRAs).
- Conduct pre/post-arrival briefings for new employees (national and international).
- Respond to incidents including IMT and CMT.
- Provide support in the management of the information portal on security issues in the DBS (SharePoint), ensuring its relevance, relevance and accessibility to a wide range of users.
- Contribute to the implementation of technical trainingsafety measures for personnel.
- Any other duties related to the nature of the work, as directed by the supervisor.
About You:
- Higher education.
- Work experience: 2 - 4 years of professional experience.
- Languages: a high level of English is desirable.
- Interest in the field of security / Interest in analysis, trends and news.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in the Ukrainian language, both written and spoken.
