The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a leading international humanitarian organization whose main objective is to protect, support and promote long-term solutions for displaced populations.

DRB has existed in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, DRB has more than 800 employees in total on the territory of Ukraine. In 2024, the DRB will continue to significantly expand to implement emergency response in the sectors of social and legal protection, economic development, housing reconstruction and resettlement, and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and as well as their partners. DRB will further develop long-term solutions, adapting them to the changing situation.

Overall goal roles:

Junior Partner Specialist of the Danish Refugee Council (DRB), under the direction of the Head of the Partnerships Group, will provide the necessary administrative and logistical support to the DRB Partnerships Department in the southern region. The main role of the junior specialist is to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the department by helping to implement tools and processes for tracking activities and promoting the implementation of the general strategy of DRB in working with partners. This includes, among others, organizing data, working with documentation, supporting field missions, helping to coordinate the activities of partner organizations to ensure effective collaboration and achievement of partners' goals.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Development cooperation with by partners

  • Administrative support in documenting standards and procedures for cooperation with partners
  • Assistance in the preparation of operational and training tools materials for partners
  • Assist in administrative tasks related to monitoring of partner organizations
  • Assist in organizing capacity building sessions and gathering data for evaluation efficiency.
  • Assists in logistical aspects of organizing field missions, including organizing and planning trips.
  • Supporting communication with partners, including preparing minutes of meetings.
  • Maintaining and updating partner database, including contact information, collaboration history, and related notes.
  • Assists in data organization, record keeping, and preparation of reports or presentations

Implementation of projects

  • Support in monitoring project activities and compliance with standards.
  • Providing administrative assistance to the project team and partner organizations.
  • Maintaining a well-organized projectdocumentation and files, ensuring effective access and search.
  • Participation in monitoring visits

Preparation of reports< /p>

  • Assist in managing tracking tools and preparing reports, including data collection and entry.
  • Perform basic quality assurance data and reports to ensure their accuracy and correctness
  • Supporting the implementation of accountability mechanisms and recording the effectiveness of activities within the framework of the partner program, in particular, the collection of necessary documentation and feedback.

Coordination

  • Providing logistical support in coordination with partners and internal units of the DRB.
  • Assistance in organizing meetings and events with external stakeholders.

About you:

To be successful as a Junior Partner Specialist we expect you to have at least 1 year of relevant experience in NGO projects. We also expect the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, finance, international development, administration or other relevant field.
  • Experience in project implementation tasks, with an understanding of the basic principles of project management.< /li>
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Microsoft online tools (in particular Outlook, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint).
  • Skills in preparing reports, proposals and other written materials.
  • Skills to support monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection and baseline analysis.
  • Effective team player and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective time management and priorities with attention to deadlines.
  • Calm and diplomatic character.
  • Knowledge of English at an intermediate level or higher is mandatory.
  • Fluent command of the Ukrainian language .
