Junior Manual QA Engineer (Apps) in Ajax Systems

R&D, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA, is responsible for device development at Ajax.

Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers", these are creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce complex weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and floods.

About the project you will work with

The Ajax Systems company develops not only wireless security systems, but also its own software. These are mobile applications for Android and iOS, as well as desktop applications for Windows and MacOS. They help our users connect and configure the system themselves, as well as manage system health. PRO versions of mobile applications and PRO Desktop, in addition to the functions of the regular application, include a professional set of functions created specifically for security and monitoring companies. A user-friendly application actually contains complex logic and many dependencies. It manages the entire Ajax system, so the QA team must guarantee the correct and stable operation of the application under all conditions. We are looking for a new player in the QA Department to strengthen the team.

Knowledge and skills required:

• 1+ years of experience in manual testing of mobile applications;
• excellent knowledge of testing theory;
• ability to apply test design techniques;
• knowledge of SDLC;
• experience of working with business requirements, TOR;
• experience of working with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail (or alternative) self-organization.

It will be a plus:

• experience of REST API or gRPC;
• experience of using mock server;
• experience of working with self-tests.

Tasks:

• test new and existing functionality of mobile and desktop applications;
• work with logs applications;
• passing regression wounds;
• develop and maintain test documentation: test cases, traceability matrix, test plan;
• analysis of business requirements in TK and design;
• work with custom QA Tools (Mock server, emulators);
• analysis of results andvtotests;
• participate in planning processes, task estimation;
• work in a team with developers, automatizers, PMs, business analysts, designers and QA of related platforms.
