Junior digital accessibility specialist in Diya

Your main mission:
Provide technical validation and improve the accessibility of public digital resources to make them convenient for use by all citizens, including people with disabilities. Your work will directly affect the quality of life of millions of Ukrainians, making public services accessible to everyone.

The focus of work is:
– conducting audits of websites and mobile applications for compliance with accessibility standards;
– preparing detailed reports and recommendations on improving the accessibility of digital resources;
– participating in the development and conducting of trainings on digital accessibility for developers and content managers;
– research of new technologies and methods of ensuring digital accessibility;
– preparation of educational materials and participation in public events to raise awareness of the importance of digital accessibility.

We expect from you:
– higher education;
– fluency in the Ukrainian language;
– basic computer and web browser skills;
– attention to detail and the ability to competently describe technical problems;
– readiness to learn and quickly learn new knowledge in the field of digital accessibility;
– communication skills and readiness to speak publicly;

It will be a plus:
– experience with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) or other assistive technologies;
– experience in software testing (QA) or taking relevant courses;
– basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript;
– experience of interacting with people with disabilities.
