POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Chemonics International Inc., an international development consulting firm, seeks a highly-qualified Ukrainian professional for the following long-term local support position for the USAID Justice for All Activity (the Program):

 

IT Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist the Program in managing the everyday team IT-related operations.
  • Installing relevant software and configuring the hardware. 
  • Analyze digital tools and develop recommendations and solutions for their improvement. 
  • Develop recommendations and practical solutions to ensure a smooth and secure process of collecting, managing, and storing relevant data. 
  • Perform regular backups to ensure that stored data is protected from damage.
  • Provide information technology support for an organization’s computer systems, including hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
  • Assist in development recommendations and digital solutions on efficient workflow and electronic management system while ensuring their conformity with the existing requirements and standards. 
  • Develop recommendations on security measures, standards and solutions in the context of the workflow and electronic case management system. 
  • Ensure the secure storage of digital files containing sensitive and/or restricted information, including personal data.
  • Assist in resolving technical, logistical, and administrative issues.
  • Provide support to staff in meeting administration and other administrative tasks.
  • Organize travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Collect, store, and manage receipts, invoices and other documents associated with the travel, accommodation, and work.
  • Ensure proper storage of files containing sensitive and/or restricted information, including personal data, in coordination with other team members.
  • Provide technical support to staff who are experiencing problems with IT hardware or software applications. 
  • Provide general support to international and Ukrainian experts.
  • Maintain communication and cooperation with Ukrainian counterparts.
  • Assist in program files archiving and uploading to company’s SharePoint, maintenance of Project File Index. 
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications:

 

  • University degree in information technology, computer science or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in analyzing digital systems, developing and applying digital solutions, including document management systems and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian. Strong proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Advanced understanding of document management platforms and systems.
  • Advanced understanding of security issues and practical solutions in the context of workflow and document management.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Client focus, service orientation, able to work in complex situations.
  • Good team player, positive attitude, flexible.
  • Sound organizational and planning skills.
