About MAG in Ukraine:

Since the Russian invasion of 24th February, Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, missiles, and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of high impact and indiscriminate weapons requires an urgent and extensive response.  MAG seeks to save lives and build safer futures by providing risk education to communities, to help them stay safe. MAG is also in the process of seeking accreditation to start conducting explosive ordnance disposal and demining activities in Ukraine, to save the lives of people affected by the conflict. 

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The HR Assistant will help coordinate an effective HR service, including coordinating an effective recruitment and selection process. Responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct recruitment, such as preparing and posting advertisements, registering applications, arranging interviews, preparing job offers, doing preliminary checks and assisting with onboarding
  • Prepare correspondence for employees as instructed, including resignation letters, new start documentation, contract amendments, etc. in both English and Ukrainian
  • Issuing staff identification cards and maintaining personnel files. Maintaining absence, attendance and leave records and updating files/records as required
  • Reconciliation of information required for payroll preparation
  • Complete data entry for monthly payroll
  • Coordinate training programmes, workshops and other events with internal/external stakeholders and participants
  • Maintain all HR documentation and keep all HR records and systems up to date
  • Handling general HR queries from employees and external stakeholders

 ABOUT YOU:

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Higher specialised education (bachelor's or master's degree)
  • Work experience in HR from 1 year desirable
  • Knowledge of the labour legislation of Ukraine
  • Limited exposure to military conscription
  • Ability to work with large amounts of information
  • Highlevel of document management
  • Attention to details
  • Strong Ukrainian and English language skills
  • Computer literacy

 JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Lead Human Resources Specialist in Human Resources will help coordinate the effective operations of the Human Resources Department, including the recruitment and selection process, providing daily advice and instructions on HR policies. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Recruiting, preparing and posting advertisements, registering applications, arranging interviews, preparing job offers, conducting background checks and assisting with onboarding

• Preparation of correspondence for employees according to the instructions, including resignations, documentation about the new start of work, changes to the contract, etc. in English and Ukrainian languages.

• Issuance of personnel cards and management of personnel files. Maintain absence, attendance and leave records and update files/records as required

• Reconcile information required for payroll

• Complete data entry for monthly payroll

• Coordinating training programs, seminars and other activities with internal/external stakeholders and participants

• Maintaining personnel documentation and updating all personnel records and systems

• Processing general personnel inquiries from employees and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for a candidate with:

< strong>• Higher special education (bachelor or master)

• Work experience in HR from 1 year

• Knowledge of labor legislation of Ukraine

• Limited impact on military service

• Ability to work with large amounts of information

• High level of mastery of document management

• Attention to detail

• A high level of command of the Ukrainian language

  • A sufficient level of command of the English language

• Computer literacy
