We are looking for an Administrative and Human Resources Assistant for the NRC Northern Regional Office in Chernihiv.
The Administrative and Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day HR and administrative tasks at the regional level.
Your duties will include:
- Adhere to NRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
- Provide diverse support in implementing a portfolio of support functions in accordance with the action plan.
- Independently implement procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated authority.
- Responsible for organizing and completing tasks in accordance with priorities and standards.
- Show initiative in solving day-to-day problems in accordance with agreed procedures, priorities and standards in the field of work.
- Cooperate with relevant departments and coordination centers.
- Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of competence.
Administrative tasks:
- Perform all administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the regional office:
- ordering cleaning products, office supplies and consumables materials,
- management of contracts in Chernihiv (office in Chernihiv, LAC office, guest house, security monitoring) by preparing contracts, submitting PR/PO necessary for processing payments, performing coordinator functions for all landlords/contractors, preparing amendments to existing contracts (extension, termination, other changes to the contract).
- Help in drafting letters, supportdays of letters for official correspondence.
- Providing accurate information in response to general inquiries. Sending, receiving, distribution and archiving of incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Organization of events and meetings in Chernihiv Oblast (venue search, catering arrangements, payment processing).
- Reservations of accommodation in Chernihiv Oblast for NRC staff and visitors, as necessary.
- Cooperation with official institutions, as necessary.
- Providing research and administrative support, as appropriate necessary.
- Timely coordination of advance payments, if such were provided.
- Performance of other relevant tasks at the request of the personnel coordinator / ASM / AM.
- Purchase of railway and bus tickets within Ukraine and beyond.
HR tasks:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- A university degree will be an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of similar work experience.
- Experience working in a humanitarian organization will be an advantage.
- Experience working in difficult and unstable environments.
- Average level of English, fluency in Ukrainian, written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Strong networking and negotiation skills.
- Resilience and ability to work in a volatile environment with a large workload.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
