Help Desk Specialist in Dentons

We are looking for a tech-savvy Help Desk Technician who will be part of Dentons’ international team,  providing technical assistance with computer systems, hardware, and software. 

To be a successful Help Desk Technician, you should be well-versed in all aspects of computer systems configuration, set up, and maintenance. You should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responding to queries on the phone, via email, in person, or through remote access
• Log all incidents and Service Requests in the firm’s ticketing system
• Offering technical assistance on the delivery, configuration, set up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, and software
• Training computer users
• Gaining feedback from customers to improve training methods
• Developing user guidelines
• Running reports and analysing common complaints and problems

Candidate requirements

• Strong customer relations skills and good phone manners
• Prioritize and manage time and requests efficiently
• Knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals and software
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems and common Windows applications
• Knowledge of Microsoft office 365 applications
• Able to deal with stressful situations in a courteous and friendly manner
• Attentive to details
• Experience in supporting PC hardware & software
• Able to analyse needs and issues, and follow up on them in a timely manner
• Upper-intermediate English

Good to have

• Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies
• Basic knowledge of Windows server OS
• Basic knowledge of network technologies
• Basic knowledge of Windows Active directory and user creation and modification process
