In response to the transformation of the humanitarian context and Ukraine's gradual transition to the phase of early recovery and development, R2P is strengthening its strategic presence in working with development donors, multi-year funding and institutional partnerships.

Head of Strategic Partnership Development will play a key role in positioning R2P as a reliable and strategic partner in the field of recovery, social cohesion, protection and development, as well as in ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of the organization. strategic thinking, relationship development and systematic work with partners.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Strategic development of partnerships

  • Development and implementation of a strategy for the development of strategic partnerships (bilateral donors, IFIs, foundations, development agencies).

    Representation of R2P in strategic dialogues, donor consultations.

2. Development fundraising & positioning

  • Leadership in attracting development / recovery-oriented funding, including multi-year and software tools.

  • Analysis of R2P programmatic and organizational strategies through the lens of donor priorities. Ensuring a balance between the interests of R2P, donors and partners.

  • Representing the interests of the Fund and positioning R2P as an expert actor in the fields of protection transitions, social protection & inclusion, early recovery, community resilience, localization & institutional capacity building.

3. Management of proposal development processes

  • General management of the development of concepts and full project proposals (without daily "manual" writing).

  • Ensuring the strategic quality of narratives, theories of change and program logic.

  • Close interaction with the Economic resilience, advocacy and RI teams.

4. Institutional development and advocacy

  • Systematic work with donors and stakeholders to embed localized approaches R2P in humanitarian response and recovery programs.

  • Contribution to the formation of the R2P organizational strategy in the part of recovery & development.

  • Discovering new opportunities for institutional funding.
    Professional requirements

    Mandatory

    • Master's degree in international development, economics, law or related fields.

    • 3+ years of experience in the field of international development/fundraising/strategic partnerships.


    • Excellent command of English and Ukrainian languages (oral and written).

    • Comply with the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.

    • Developed network professional contacts in the donor and partner environment.

    • Understanding localization processes and social protection reforms.
