"Tenth of April" is a public organization that works to improve the protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs), the population affected by the conflict, by providing legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promotes changes in legislation, involvement of communities in responding to emergency situations and finding long-term solutions, in cooperation with authorities and supporting their potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player who is interested in communication, effective communication and self-development in order to protect internally displaced persons and persons affected by conflict.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Organize, coordinate and control: the work of identifying volunteers, initiative groups and/or associations of citizens, organizations that provide assistance to IDPs and persons affected by the military conflict in order to establish communication and interaction; organization of events for initiative groups and communities; providing assistance with community development and finding resources.
  • Provide practical support for the regional implementation of local CSO support programs in terms of compliance with procedures, criteria and quality standards.
  • Conduct monitoring visits to assess the situation with IDPs and the work of subordinates.
  • Visit state and local self-government bodies and establish effective communication with government officials, monitoring the situation and forming an algorithm for solving the problems of communities affected by the armed conflict.
  • Coordinate the implementation of educational and educational events, as well as activities aimed at expanding the opportunities of communities.
  • Provide methodological and advisory assistance to subordinates in drawing up project documentation, preparing methodological materials, grant applications, and accompanying documentsents.
  • Compile, make changes and monitor the implementation of plans and programs.
  • Ensure the collection, summarization and primary analysis of information on the results of activities, challenges and needs, prepares analytical reports and proposals for the head of the department.
  • Perform effective planning, organization, coordination and control of the activities of subordinates persons.
  • Report on the results of your work.

Qualification requirements

Technical skills

Education:

  • Higher education in the field of social sciences, social work, law, psychology, public administration or related fields.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with IDPs, conflict-affected population or other vulnerable groups.
  • Experience of working in the field of public interaction, humanitarian or social projects is an advantage.
  • Confirmed experience of organization and conducting

    events, trainings or workshops.

  • Experience in strengthening the capacity of CSOs and/or public structures (councils, committees, etc.) will be an advantage.

    Skills:
    Developed facilitation, communication skills and interaction with people.
    Ability to build trust and work with different population groups on the basis of respect.

  • Ability to plan and organize own work, attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
    Basic understanding of the principles of protection and community-based approaches.

Languages:

  • Ukrainian is mandatory.
  • English is preferred.
