Head of the photo content department in EVA – liniya magaziniv

Who are we looking for?

The team of the company, which is the leader of the Ukrainian retail market in the drogerie & beauty segment, is looking for an experienced manager ( -this) of the photo content department for the EVA.UA online store. A person with a creative mindset, who has a good understanding of the specifics of working with photography and video, has in-depth knowledge of the technical features of subject shooting, work with graphic editors, knows how to productively organize the work of a team of retouchers and photographers.

The main activity of the head (s) of the photo content department is related to the organization of the effective work of the team, which is engaged in:

• Search, identification and adaptation of product photos according to internal standards;
• Subject photography of products in the studio;
• Mostly basic, but also by deeper photo retouching;
• Finding and adaptation of illustrations for articles;
• Shooting and editing of short subject product video;
• Interaction with stakeholders from other departments and departments;
• Responsible for the quality, completeness and correctness of product photos in the online store.

What to do?

• Form the department's short- and long-term development strategy perspective;
• Organize the work of a team of 8+ employees to achieve strategic goals;
• Constantly optimize such important processes as: search and adaptation of photos of products, standardization of presentations of photos of products of various categories, ensuring actuality and completeness with photos of product cards, interaction with internal and external customers;
• Determine performance indicators, be able to analyze results and improve them;
• Research the market, implement modern trends and content formats;
• Interact with stakeholders from other departments, directions and departments;
• Keep weekly reporting and to plan the work of the team;
• Management, training and interaction with the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Professional skills

• Photography and videography: understanding of the technical aspects of shooting such as lighting, composition, use of cameras and lenses;
• Experience with photo editing programs (Photoshop , Lightroom, Capture One);
• Ability to create shooting concepts in accordance with the specifics of brand positioning and products;
• Organizing photo shoots from the idea to the finished product (planning, briefing, props);
• Understanding the basics of Internet marketing.

2. Work experience

• Knowledge of the specifics of shooting for online stores (catalog photos, creative shooting);
• Team management skills. Desired experience of working with a creative team (photographers, videographers, retouchers) from 1 year;
• Understanding the specifics of working with different categories of products (cosmetics, accessories, household chemicals, children's products, etc.).

3. Personal qualities

• Creativity: Ability to generate new ideas and approaches to shooting;
• Organization: Ability to plan tasks and meet deadlinesiv;
• Adaptability: Quick response to changes and new requirements;
• Communication: Ability to explain ideas to the team and provide quality feedback. Ability to develop and motivate a team, share experience and attract new talent.

4. Additional advantages

• Experience of filming videos for the website and social networks;
• Knowledge of current trends in commercial subject photography, videography;
• Experience of using AI (Midjourney etc.);
• Skills for content performance analytics;
• Experience in an online store or creative agency;
• Understanding UX/UI design: Knowledge of how photos and videos affect the user experience on the site.
