About the role

The head of the oncology center is responsible for the medical expertise of the field, the development of clinical practice and the systematic improvement of the quality of oncology care in the network.

This is a role for an expert doctor and manager who:

• is actively involved in clinical work
• forms standards and treatment approaches
• develops a professional community of doctors
• represents and promotes the Dobrobut network

Subordination

• Reports to: Deputy Chief Medical Director for Quality Assurance and Clinical Expertise
• Subordinates: leading experts in the field and oncologists networks

Main tasks

Clinical and expert activities

• Clinical work (consultations, inpatient, complex cases) - about 50% of working time
• Medical examination of complex clinical cases
• Consultative support of service doctors
• Curation of clinically complex cases patients

Development of clinical practice

• Implementation of modern evidence-based oncology approaches
• Development and regular revision of clinical standards, protocols, routes
• Control of compliance with clinical standards
• Initiation of improvements based on the results of practice analysis

Quality and analytics

• Formation of performance indicators system direction
• Analysis of clinical results, inconsistencies, complaints
• Organization of analysis of clinical cases
• Development of corrective and preventive actions

Work with a team of doctors

• Participation in evaluation and certification of doctors
• Organization of training and staff development
• Mentoring and expert support teams
• Assessment of candidates when expanding the service

We expect

• Higher medical education and specialization in oncology
• Significant clinical experience in the management of complex oncological patients
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based medicine and modern international recommendations
• Experience in medical examination / clinical consultation/surgery - will an advantage
• Experience in managing or mentoring medical teams
• Developed analytical and communication skills
• English language (level not lower than B1)
