GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Protection" (Fund)is a charitable organization that focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons, persons in need of international protection, persons with increased the risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.  

Cherkasy, Poltava, Sumy and Kirovohrad regions. As part of the project, monitoring will be carried out with the aim of identifying the necessary works from the list of works limited by the project, drawing up defective acts, holding tenders for the selection of contractors, direct repair works, after which the works will be accepted in terms of quantity and quality by institutions for further use of the renovated premises.

BF "Pravo na protection" is looking for a candidate for the positionHead of the repair department in MCP.

GEOGRAPHY OF COVERAGE

Project Engineer is based in Kyiv. The activity involves regular trips within the established regions, as well as possible business trips to the city of Kharkiv.

DUTIES AND TASKS

  • < p>responsible for achieving project results on time, with the fulfillment of all requirements and features of the project application and within the agreed budget;

  • prepares planned and unplanned reports on operational activities within the project;

  • represents the results of project activities on profile clusters;< /p>

  • obey the Code of Conduct and the Fund's Policies.

TASKS WITHIN THE PROJECT

In cooperation with the program manager of the direction, senior accountant and project manager:

  • develop standards for accounting and control of repair work, reflect standards in the project's standard operating procedure (SOP);

  • audit and, if necessary, make changes to typical tripartite repair contracts, including all annexes and reference information;

  • conduct an audit and, if necessary, make changes to the process of monitoring institutions, production of accompanying documentation (defective acts, estimates);

  • implement and support the system of planning and actual monitoring of work statuses at the facilities;

  • implement and maintain coordination of all participants in the process, some of whom work in regional offices of the Fund, some remotely;

  • implement and support a system for detecting any discrepancies between the planned and actual implementation of the project, a system for responding to incidents;

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • preferably 2 years of work experience in international donor projects related to humanitarian aid and charity;

  • high self-motivation, independence, efficiency and the ability to meet deadlines - a must;

  • excellent analytical skills, attention to detail;

  • ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;

  • skill of preparing and writing reports;

  • excellent communication skills;

  • strategic thinking and problem solving skills;

  • < li style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">

    readiness for local and remote business trips (60% of working time).

A significant advantage will be: 

  • professional construction education;

  • reading construction drawings;

  • ability to work with construction documentation and estimates

  • understanding of the processes of construction and repair work, consumption norms of building materials;

  • the ability to evaluate the object from the point of view of the priority necessary construction works.
