Specialist in monitoring and evaluation in The Right to Protection, CF

BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter the Fund) -< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">is a charitable organization , which focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk of statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and carries out direct legal assistance programs throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.

Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will report to the Coordinator of the Fund's Monitoring and Evaluation Department and will work in in close cooperation with the development and fundraising departments, program departments, the communication and advocacy department, as well as with the support of the financial and administrative department.

Position involves remote work.

Develops and supports monitoring tools according to the needs of the Fund and projects:

• Works with project documentation and project coordination in terms of monitoring and evaluation, interacts with donor representatives on monitoring and evaluation issues;

• Ensures proper secondary data collection, tracking and management;

• Contributes to the effectiveness of the monitoring and evaluation unit by providing management and supervision of field data collection teams as needed;

• Complements project reporting in accordance with the guidelines of the Fund and the requirements of donors in the agreed terms;

• In coordination with the coordinators of the monitoring and evaluation department and the development and fundraising department, complements project proposals/budgets by providing basic information for analyzing the situation, basic indicators and establishing relevant indicators of processes and results;

• Assists in building organizational capacity to improve monitoring and evaluation standards and policies; promotes and informs colleagues about best practices;

• Develops, tests and manages data collection (KoboToolBox, Google Forms, etc.);

• Follow all relevant R2P policies and procedures, including a code of conduct and a policy on accountability to affected populations.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Higher education in sociology, social sciences, law, management, research or other relevant field; 

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation;

• Experience in humanitarian and development programs is an advantage;

• Knowledge of software and data collection tools would be an advantage;

• Experienced Excel user;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

• Ability to work independently on agreed tasks,

• Meeting deadlines, attention to detail;

• Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
