The Head of Capacity Building and Municipal Support will be responsible for the development, management and implementation of capacity building activities aimed at increasing the capacity of local and regional authorities to develop and implement clean energy transition plans. The role also involves providing technical assistance to municipalities in preparing their clean energy transition strategies with a focus on energy efficiency, renewable energy and climate action.
Main Responsibilities:
Development of the potential development program:
Development and implementation of training programs and seminars for local authorities, civil society organizations (CSOs) and other interested parties. Programs cover key areas such as energy auditing, integration of renewable energy and development of local energy plans.
Support of municipalities:
Work closely with municipalities to assist in the preparation and implementation of their sustainable energy plans and strategies. Provide technical support in conducting energy audits, setting renewable energy targets and integrating energy efficiency measures into municipal planning.
Conducting trainings:
Preparation and delivery of face-to-face and online trainings, seminars and study tours for municipal employees and other stakeholders, focusing on best practices in energy efficiency, RES, energy management and climate change adaptation strategies.
Technical support:
Ensure ongoing technical assistance is provided to local authorities in energy audits, data analysis and identification of appropriate renewable energy technologies and financing opportunities.
Cooperation with experts:< br/>Cooperate with national and international experts to integrate innovative approaches and best practices into capacity building activities.
Stakeholder Engagement:< br/>To promote coordination between municipalities, state institutions and civil society organizations.
Reporting and Documentation:< br/>Prepare reports on capacity building activities, including lessons learned, impact assessment and recommendations for future training programs. Documenting historyand success and best practices for dissemination within the project consortium and beyond.
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in the field capacity building related to energy efficiency, renewable energy or climate action.
Experience of working with local and regional authorities.
Understanding clean energy transition strategies, EU climate and energy policies, and local government structures.
Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills and experience interacting with a variety of stakeholders including local authorities and civil society organizations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Desired skills:< /p>
Experience of working on projects financed by the EU or international donors.
Proficiency in English.
