Our Client is a leading international FMCG manufacturing company and a global leader in its segment. In Ukraine, the company operates several production facilities and a robust commercial organization, maintaining high quality standards and innovative processes. They are currently seeking a Head of Direct Materials Purchasing to lead their procurement excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct materials across multiple production sites.
  • Category Management: Manage the full sourcing cycle (ingredients, packaging, raw materials), conduct tenders (RFQ/RFP), and lead supplier selection.
  • Financial Efficiency: Manage the procurement budget, achieve savings targets, and monitor Purchase Price Variance (PPV).
  • International Collaboration: Coordinate procurement initiatives with the Global Office and implement world-class best practices.
  • Business Continuity: Build dual-sourcing plans, manage risks, and mitigate logistics disruptions to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the procurement team (2 Buyers), ensuring professional growth and operational sustainability.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Economics, Logistics, Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience within international companies (manufacturing sector, preferably FMCG).
  • 3+ years of proven team management experience.
  • Deep understanding of contracting, supplier performance management, and working capital optimization.
  • English: Advanced/Upper-Intermediate (for daily communication with Global Category Managers).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (1C/SAP) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, etc.).
  • Strong leadership, high accountability, and expert negotiation skills.
