Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights (hereinafter - UMPD) was created to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.
Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights" within the project "Supporting children and youth with experience in alternative forms of care"is looking for a manager for the development of mentoring for children and youth.
Task: development of mentoring for children and youth in Ukraine, in particular those who are/were in institutional care.
Main duties:
- advocacy/popularization of mentoring for children and youth;
- development of strategies and plans for the effective implementation of mentoring in the environments of institutional care, family education and among graduates;
- planning, implementation and monitoring of various mentoring programs and projects for children and youth;
- systematic monitoring and evaluation of the development of mentoring, preparation of reports and recommendations;
- organization and coordination of trainings, seminars and other development activities mentoring;
- coordinating changes and development of laws, standards and regulations on mentoring;
- ensuring a high level of communication with participants of programs and projects;
- managing mentoring cases (supporting mentor candidates, mentors);
- developing methodological recommendations and consulting support to the project team regarding the implementation of mentoring;
- establishing and maintaining partnerships with government bodies, non-profit organizations and other interested parties.
Requirements for the candidate:
- experience working with social projects/programs for children and youth;
- knowledge of principles and methods mentoring;
- education in the field of social work, psychology, sociology or related fields;
- tendency to advocacy work and interest in supporting the rights and interests of children;
- experience working with public organizations, state structures or charitable funds will be an advantage;
- experience working with children/graduates of institutional care institutions (orphanages, boarding schools) will be an advantage;
- experience of working with project initiatives where the target audience is children/youth who are growing up or have grown up in residential institutions; orphans, children deprived of parental care, and persons from among them; children/youth who are in difficult life circumstances will be an advantage;
- fluency in spoken and written Ukrainian (English will also be an advantage).
