GENERAL INFORMATION

BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights. text-decoration: none">One of the main focuses of the work areas of the BF "Right to Defense" is to strengthen the capacity of local organizations and the efficiency of the work of public sector participants and to promote the development of permanent, mutually reinforcing contacts and partnerships between them. Civil society organizations are important subjects that significantly complement the function of the state in providing social, humanitarian, educational and other needs of citizens. Therefore, they should develop and become professional, systematic and accountable in their work. BF "Right to Protection" focuses on work with CSOs that work in the same fields as the Foundation.

DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Supporting the implementation of projects by civil society organizations - partners/subgrantees/grantors of the BF "Right to Protection" from the start to the end of cooperation;

  • Development of reporting forms for partners/subgrantees in partnership with the responsible units of the Fund;" etc.;

  • Consulting partners/subgrantees/grantors on the rules of project implementation and reporting (holding webinars, online/offline meetings, trainings, etc.);

  • Control of the conditions provided for the sub-grants, including the observance of the deadlines by the partners/sub-grants; text-decoration:none">

    Development and maintenance of relations with partners and stakeholders in the project;

  • Monitoring the progress of project implementation by partners/subgrantees/grantors in accordance with the project plan, control over the collection of quantitative indicators;

  • Preparation and submission of regular reports on the implementation of projects, financial activities and achieved results by partners/subgrantees/grantors; 

  • Performing monitoring visits/trips to check the implementation of projects on the ground;

  • Maintenance of the database of CSOs - partners/subgrantees/grantors and their projects;

  • Assistance in gathering information from partners/subgrantees/grantors regarding organizational development needs.

  • Execution of other tasks related to work with CSOs within the framework of the capacity building program of local organizations.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS and COMPETENCES:

  • Higher education;

  • Experience in international donor projects related to humanitarian aid and charity (experience in US-funded projects would be an advantage);

  • Experience in managing projects and teams;

  • Experience in supporting grant projects worth 250,000 USD or more

  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies;

  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English;

  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems and develop solutions. Attention to detail;

  • High communication skills, ability to effectively communicate and cooperate with different people. Diplomacy and cultural sensitivity;

  • Fair treatment of all people, lack of bias and discrimination. 

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.
