PAH has been present in Ukraine since August 2014 delivering humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable of the conflict-affected population. Purpose of the Position
The Financial Coordinator is responsible for coordinating finance flow in the projects starting from budget till the audit in cooperation with the Financial Desk in HQ; ensuring efficiency, transparency and good quality financial services to control project budgets and financial reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitoring project budget realization using available tools (Dynamics 365 Business Central, Excel, etc).
- Preparing Budget Monitoring tools in Excel for new projects.
- Verifying costs in terms of nature of expenditure, description, legibility and approving allocation of costs to the project. Supporting Mission accountants in this respect. Preparing information for booking costs in Mission’s software (Dynamics 365 Business Central).
- Participating in the allocation procedure: updating projects basket, verifying and accepting allocation files. Preparing Salary file with allocation between projects.
- Runningperiodical financial reports according to PAH and donor requirements.
- Preparation of new budget/budget revision/ forecast costs.
- Participating in preparation of mission budget in long-term and shot-term prospective.
- Facilitating all audit processes in the mission and ensuring all audit issues are followed up and resolved to a final conclusion.
- Following up on donors/partners/vendors/coordinators/staff issues and ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Performing any other duties as directed and instructed by the direct supervisor.
The successful candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:
- Diploma in finance/accounting/economics or other relevant field;
- Strong financial background and experience in relevant positions (Finance Manager/Coordinator) preferably in non-government sector;
- At least 3 years of experience in managing financial processes under dynamic and challenging operating environments;
- Good understanding of accounting and finance procedures is a must (the candidates will pass a test);
- Experience in requirements & compliance management;
- Proven ability to manage a complex and demanding workload;
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures;
- Excellent spoken and written English (at least Upper-Intermediate), ability to communicate with all stakeholders including donors.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, promoted user of Excel (the candidates will pass a test);
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central (Navision) will be an asset.
