Terre des hommes (Tdh) is a leading Swiss organization for helping children. Working in more than 30 countries, Tdh, together with its own teams and/or local and international partners, develops and implements projects on the ground that significantly improve the daily lives of more than four million children and members of their communities each year. The focus is on maternal and child health, migration and access to justice for children. 

In Europe, Tdh strives to ensure the full realization of children's rights on an equal basis and without discrimination. We work in Albania, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary and Greece, and together with our partners we reach children in 14 other European countries. 

Tdh has been working in Ukraine through partnerships since 2009, and legally opened its offices in 2014. Since 2015, Tdh has been providing a variety of services to children, youth and their families in conflict-affected territory, with a particular focus on psychosocial support.

DESCRIPTION ROLES

The project assistant in the mobile team performs important functions, helping to ensure the effective operation of the team while providing the necessary psychosocial support to the children. He/she plays an important role in ensuring the effectiveness of the entire team, supporting the beneficiaries and organizing all the necessary processes for the successful delivery of assistance.  

MAIN DUTIES

  • Organization of psychosocial events for children and their parents/guardians, active participation in events.
  • < li>Providing organizational support for the smooth work of the team,
  • Keeping records of event participants, filling out questionnaires, registration forms and other necessary documentation.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports on work performed, including data collection, feedback and analytical processing of information.
  • As necessary orwith a request to provide consultations to Tdh partners regarding the Programs implemented by the Mission.
  • Interaction with local authorities to determine the needs of the Project's target audience, possible cooperation.
  • Participation in the development of team work plans, with taking into account the needs of the beneficiaries and working conditions
  • Adherence to safety protocols and ethical standards to ensure the safety of the beneficiaries and the team during the events.
  • Adherence confidentiality when working with the personal information of beneficiaries and compliance with the principles of ethics in work.
  • Maintaining an atmosphere of trust and safety when working with children and families.

Requirements:

Education / Qualification:Higher education (Bachelor/Master) in social work or other related field industry.

Work experience:

  • From 1 year of work experience in a similar position;
  • Previous experience working in an NGO is desirable; 

Language knowledge:Fluency in the Ukrainian language (oral and written); knowledge of English will be an advantage;

IT knowledge:Basic knowledge of IT (Microsoft Office, Internet).

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

The Facilitators in mobile team performs important functions, helping to ensure the effective work of the team in providing the necessary psychosocial support to children. He/she plays an important role in ensuring the effectiveness of the entire team, supporting beneficiaries and organising all the necessary processes for the successful delivery of assistance.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Organising psychosocial events for children and their parents/carers, and actively participating in the events.
  • Providing organisational support for the smooth operation of the team, 
  • Keeping records of event participants, filling out questionnaires, registration forms and other necessary documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on the work performed, including data collection, feedback and analytical processing of information.
  • Providing advice to TDH partners on the programmes implemented by the Mission, as needed or requested.
  • Interaction with local authorities to identify the needs of the Project target audience and possible cooperation.
  • Participation in the development of team work plans, taking into account the needs of beneficiaries and working conditions
  • Adherence to safety protocols and ethical standards to ensure the safety of beneficiaries and the team during activities.
  • Maintaining confidentiality when dealing with beneficiaries' personal information and adhering to the principles of ethics in work.
  • Maintaining an atmosphere of trust and safety when working with children and families. 

Requirements:

Education / Qualifications: University degree (Bachelor's/Master's) in social work or other related field.  

Work experience: 

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position;
  • Previous experience in an NGO is desirable; 

Language skills: Fluency in Ukrainian (spoken and written); English language skills will be anadvantage; 

IT skills: Basic knowledge of IT (Microsoft Office, Internet).
