BF "Right to Defense" (Foundation) is a leading human rights organization that comprehensively works on solving the problems of forced displacement and migration, their causes and consequences. Our activities are aimed at protecting the rights of refugees, forced migrants, stateless persons and socially vulnerable population groups.
The Foundation is an executive partner of the UNHCR and carries out programs of providing direct legal, humanitarian and psychological assistance in 18 regions of Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights, as well as contributes to strengthening the capacities of state bodies of Ukraine to overcome the consequences of migration.
Within the project, the Fund will provide combined services based on the work of mobile teams to the most vulnerable categories population, including children, women, persons with disabilities and the elderly, internally displaced persons living in compact housing and social centers. Mobile brigades will provide services in the war-affected areas of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Poltava, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhia regions.
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe main goal of the position is to increase the efficiency and security of the IT infrastructure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA), which will contribute to the overall improvement of the quality of providing IT services to users in the MFA. The DevOps expert hired for this purpose will play an important role in leading initiatives to streamline the system development lifecycle from concept to production. This role involves optimizing performance, minimizing errors, and supporting continuous delivery within the context of DevOps practices. A key part of the duties of the position is the connection of payment and financial systems to the "e-Consul" information and communication system in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine, and technical support of these integrations in working condition.

Implementation of the DevOps pipeline: strong>
Design, implement, and document a robust end-to-end DevOps pipeline that includes continuous integration, continuous deployment, and automated testing.
Offer comprehensive a pipeline that supports the efficient and reliable delivery of software throughout the development lifecycle.
Providing users with L2 support as needed.
Security Integration Plan:
Develop and present a detailed plan for integrating security practices into DevOps processes.
Provide documentation that describes how security measures will be implemented, including regular security testing, compliance checks, and integration of security controls throughout the pipeline.
Performance metrics and monitoring dashboard:
Establish key performance indicators for DevOps processes and develop a dashboard to view real-time IT infrastructure performance.
Create a set of performance indicators that measure the effectiveness of the DevOps pipeline, as well as a convenient dashboard for continuous monitoring.
Training and Skills Development Program:
Develop a training program based on identified skills gaps in the DevOps team.
Provide a detailed training plan that outlines the specific skills to be learned, the training methods that will be used, and the schedule of training sessions.
Documentation and knowledge sharing structure:
Develop a comprehensive documentation structure that includes references to standards, instructions, a description of collaboration tools. Organize knowledge exchange processes in the DevOps team of engineers.
Provide a set of documentation templates and a schedule of regularsknowledge sharing sessions to ensure effective communication and information transfer between team members.
Overview after implementation:
Review DevOps pipeline processes after implementation.
Provide a periodic report highlighting successes, challenges and lessons learned during implementation, as well as recommendations for further improvement and optimization.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Education
Master's degree in computer science, or software engineering, or information systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and skills
At least 3 years of practical experience as a DevOps engineer.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Blob, Entra (Azure AD).
Experience with container environments and microservices (eg Docker and Kubernetes).
Experience with M365, Microsoft Intune (MDM), SharePoint Server
Previous Linux systems administration experience
Knowledge of build/release systems, CI/CD systems, Jenkins, GIT
Knowledge of conditional access policy administration
Deep knowledge of MS IIS administration.
Previous experience in database administration such as PostgreSQL, ORACLE, MS SQL.
Significant DevOps architecture and technical design experience.
Work in financial institutions, experience with integration of payment systems.
Experience of public service or work in public institutions of Ukraine (preferred).
Excellent problem solving skills along with the ability to work independently.
Experience with monitoring tools.
Minimum three years of experience in managing complex IT projects and/or digitization and digital transformations.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in launching digital services, digitalization of public sector services.
Fluency in Ukrainian and English.
Excellent team building and personnel management skills.
