DAI is seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time Driver/Logistics Assistant position on the recently awarded Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity), a $90 million, multiyear contract funded by USAID.PROJECT BACKGROUNDThe USAID Promoting Integrity in the Public Sector Activity (Pro-Integrity) will concentrate on addressing three narrow development challenges within its manageable interest and influence to overcome corruption risks at the national institutional level, local government level, and related to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction. Specifically, these include:Anti-Corruption Institutional Challenges: Nascent anti-corruption institutions facing depleted human resources and budget austerity during wartime face challenges guaranteeing adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses.Weak Anti-Corruption Controls in Local Government: Weak anti-corruption compliance and control measures in local communities, depleted human resources, and humanitarian emergencies during wartime challenge adequate corruption prevention, deterrence, and the inevitability of punishment for corruption offenses at the local level.Recovery and Reconstruction Corruption Risks: Unresolved corruption risks due to the lack of internal control, non-transparent procedure, and weak civil oversight over key reconstruction processes, including infrastructure restoration, asset management, and environmental recovery, create risks for transparent and accountable reconstruction and recovery.The Pro-Integrity Activity will pursue a problem-driven approach addressing the root causes through targeted objectives aligned with the Mission and U.S. Government strategy.POSITION DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a reliable and efficient Driver/Logistics Assistant to support our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing transportation services and performing a variety of administrative and logistics tasks to ensure smooth operations within the organization. This role requires excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. The Driver/Logistics Assistant is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, goods, documents, or equipment within the designated project operation area. Based in Kyiv, the Driver/Logistics Assistant is expected to travel within Ukraine, considering all safety measures. International travel across the Ukrainian border may be possible if the person meets all eligibility requirements.KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for transporting staff to and from various locations within and out of the territory of UkrainePerform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring that they are operational and safe to drive, regularly refuels vehicle,Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly.Ensure vehicles are equipped with necessary safety and emergency equipment.Maintain cleanliness and serviceability of the vehicle at all times.Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures.Follow security protocols and proceduresto ensure the safety of passengers and goods.Coordinate with security personnel and follow guidance on travel restrictions and safe routes.Communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and other team members regarding travel plans and any changes. Ensure the periodic scheduled vehicle maintenance is completed.Maintain vehicle logs, documenting vehicle's movements and destinations, fuel consumptionPrepare accident and incident reports as necessary.Perform courier services as required.Assist with the facilitation of project events, staff meetings, trainings, and workshops as requested.Assist with gathering, scanning, and filing project documentation under guidance from relevant project staff (Procurement, Grants, Finance, HR, etc.).Assist with the purchase of operational goods such as consumables as well as stationery and office supplies.Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring secure and careful handling.Assist with maintaining inventory of project property.Assist with travel arrangements for project staff and visitors.Facilitate administrative transactions with governmental and/or other institutions facilitating the running of the office (electricity, water, generator, etc.).Assist in coordinating transmission and receipt of items requiring customs clearance and other regulatory offices.Other duties as required by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONSA valid driver’s license with a minimum 2 years and with a clean driving record is required2 years of proven experience as a driver and/or logistics assistant is requiredStrong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Prior experience on USAID-funded projects, or with INGOs is a plusFirst aid training and defensive driving training are a plus.High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration or related fields are a plus.APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONSQualified individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Please submit your Cover Letter and CV to pro-integrity_recruitment@dai.comOnly shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
