GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian Charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine "50 Best Charitable Organizations" rating, and took 9th place in the integrity rating of Ukrainian charitable foundations.
The project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of first responders" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, the population affected by hostilities, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.
The geography of activity includes Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and project needs.
GEOGRAPHY OF COVERAGE
The distributor is based in the Transit point in Voloske (Dnipropetrovsk Region).
DUTIES AND TASKS
Under the direct supervision of the Leading specialist in the provision of material assistance, the Senior specialist in the provision of material assistance, the employee must:
accompany the delivery of material aid to the most vulnerable beneficiaries who receive services at the transit center in Voloske;
on the basis of pre-collected and provided data, check the compliance of the data with the provided documents and project criteria;
to clarify the needs and vulnerabilities for those beneficiaries for whom an incomplete package of documents has been received;
check beneficiaries for possible duplication of assistance received according to the register;
issue financial assistance;
draw up accompanying documentation, namely: distribution list, collect, check and store documents confirming the identity of the beneficiary and his vulnerability;
keep a register of documentation and regularly submit reports on operations;
if necessary, advise beneficiaries according to the procedure for receiving assistance;
to digitize the distribution information every day and submit it to the Senior Financial Assistance Specialist for verification;
perform warehouse and logistics accounting of materials, namely:
accept goods from an external or internal carrier, verifying the quantity and quality according to the invoice, documenting all discrepancies in case of occurrence;
keep track of material aid balances, monitor all material releases;
conduct a daily inventory of material aid balances and report according to internal accounting forms;
inform the manager in case of any incidents and make efforts to preserve the material aid in full volume and condition
take any other responsibility deemed necessary or delegated by the manager to ensure the level of service required by the Foundation and/or donor;
understand and adhere to the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
willingness to work in a transit center and/or hub, accompanied by a high degree of emotional involvement in the complex stories of beneficiaries;
willingness to a variable, flexible schedule with "floating" lunch hours and weekends;
readiness for physical exertion (participation in unloading aid, carrying aid to a storage place, etc. in case of critical need);
the ability to collect information in accordance with the goals and objectives of the project;
skills to prepare reports (analytical, on a separate incident);
understanding humanitarian principles;
excellent communication skills, readiness for daily communication with people (IDPs, representatives of government institutions);
self-motivation;
flexibility;
awareness of the situation in the area where the project is implemented will be a significant advantage.
