DevOps Engineer in Galaktica

We are the Ukrainian product IT company Galaktica, which creates and promotes its own online products in the most solvent markets of the world: USA, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, EU . Our company, like the main product, has been around for 4+ years. This product is monetized and profitable, allowing us to grow and develop our employees, scale, and invest in new internal startups.

We have already made significant gains, but we continue to actively scale. Therefore, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our young, active and engaged team!
Together we will grow even faster, both on the main product and on our new startups!

In this position, you will need to solve the following tasks:

• Maintain and optimize the infrastructure in AWS (EKS, RDS, ElastiCache, MQ, NLB and others)
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD (Gitlab, ArgoCD)
• Maintain and optimize deployment in EKS
• Maintain and optimize observability (stack around Prometheus-Grafana-Loki-CloudWatch )
• Implement and maintain infrastructure information security best practices
• Assist development and testing teams with deployment debugging issues
• Maintain documentation

What skills and criteria are important to us now: 
 

• Understanding the principles of network design and experience in finding and solving network problems. 
• High level of administration of Linux systems - experience in finding non-optimal kernel parameters, resource planning, debugging, configuration best practices
• High level of knowledge of containerization - best practices for building Docker images, security, optimization of applications for running in containers, kaniko
• Experience in administration of Kubernetes clusters - launch, update and optimization of deployments, cluster updates, rights management, isolation of environments, etc.
• Experience in working with AWS - IAM, EC2, EKS, RDS, CloudWatch
• High level of mastery of Gitlab-CI - building pipelines, optimization, self-hosted runners
• Experience with Prometheus-Grafana-Loki stack - deployment , updates, custom metrics, custom alerts, performance optimization
• Experience with Cloudflare - DNS, WAF
• Experience with Terraform - AWS, Cloudflare
• Programming experience in Python and/or Go
• Experience in deploying and supporting Node JS, PHP, ReactJS applications

Will be a plus:

• Experience of working with PCI DSS compliance infrastructure
• Experience of working with configuration standards (CIS, NIST, STIG, OWASP)
• Experience of working with SAST and DAST code analyzers
• Experience with finding vulnerabilities in containers (trivy, snyk etc)
• Experience with SIEM, IDS systems
• Experience with stack ELK (Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana)
