We are looking for an experienced financial expert who will be responsible for the financial management of grant and emergency projects, ensuring compliance with the requirements of donors and the stability of financial processes in conditions of high dynamics and changes.
Necessary knowledge and skills
- Higher education in the field of finance, economics or accounting. 5 years of experience in finance, preferably in managerial or project roles.
- Experience with grant projects and/or institutional donors is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of international standards of financial management, IFRS / IAS.
- Understanding the principles of accounting, financial reporting and budgeting.
- Experience in financial planning, control and management of financial flows.
- Experience in preparing financial reports in English.
- Confident command in English (oral and written).
- Experience in managing a financial team or coordinating the work of financial specialists in projects.
- Experience in interaction with internal and external auditors.
- High level of mastery of MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Analytical thinking, systematic, ability to work with a large amount of data and parallel projects.
- Willingness to work in conditions of high dynamics and parallel deadlines, in particular in the context of emergency projects.
- Developed communication skills and experience of interaction with various stakeholders.
Key tasks
- Financial management of grant and Emergency Response projects.
- Participation in the development, support and control of project budgets, analysis of deviations and preparation of financial explanations.
- Preparation of financial statements for grants and emergency projects in accordance with the requirements of donors and international standards. Financial interaction with institutional donors, preparation of reports in English. Control of expenditure compliance with approved budgets and internal financial procedures. and external audits of grant and emergency projects.
- Management and development of the financial team involved in project activities.
- Participation in the development and standardization of financeprocesses as part of grant and emergency projects.
- Partner interaction with the financial director and involvement in strategic financial decisions.
