The branch of the Polish Humanitarian Action in Ukraine invites a Coordinator of field centers.

  • Location: Dnipro, Ukraine
  • Type of employment: full-time
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Duration: 2 months with the possibility extension, depending on the results of the work

About PGA:

Polish Humanitarian Action (PGA) is an international non-governmental organization that since 1992 provides humanitarian and development aid worldwide. So far, interventions have been carried out in 46 countries. With years of experience in the implementation of projects in the fields of water supply, sanitation and hygiene, food security and livelihoods, as well as nutrition and education, PGA focuses its global activities on ensuring the sustainable and sustainable development of regions suffering from the consequences of armed conflicts, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises. Since July 2014 PGA conducts its activities in Ukraine, providing humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable people affected by the conflict. PGA provides assistance to internally displaced persons, elderly people and single mothers working in food security, psychosocial support and livelihoods sectors. Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Conducting a protection assessment to identify specific needs, risks and opportunities of vulnerable population groups.
  • Development and implementation of individual protection plans at the community level in consultation with stakeholders and affected persons.
  • li>Help in the development of policies and tools for the provision of services with protection in accordance with the goals of the organization
  • Help in creating and maintaining document flow for the timely preparation of documents necessary for project implementation;
  • Development of materials for information campaigns and trainings, reporting mechanisms.
  • Attending coordination meetings, interaction with other protection subjects, local authorities.
  • Preparation of reports and supervision of program implementation in order to ensure timely execution of program activities, determination of supply needs for the program and coordination with the logistics team to implement a practical phased procurement plan;
  • Regular monitoring visits to project implementation sites;
  • Ensuring proper and secure storage and management of documentation in accordance with best practices in the field of data protection;
  • Candidate will be selected based on the qualification requirements described below:

    • diploma in economics, international development, international relations, sociology, public administration or other relevant fields;
    • < li>excellent technical knowledge of safeguarding, including issues related to relocation, legal protection, case management and PEP;
    • understanding of community-based approaches, safeguarding services and referral mechanisms;
    • li>
    • good knowledge of the Ukrainian humanitarian context;
    • experience in implementing psychosocial support/protection programs in emergency situations;
    • understanding of best practices and protection strategies (case management, psychosocial support, etc.);
    • good oral and written communication skills in Russian / Ukrainian languages;
    • good oral and written English communication skills;
    • good interpersonal communication skills ;
    • good skills in using Microsoft Office, phone applications and Google Apps;
    • good organizational skills and keeping confidential information;
    • ability to cope with the workload;

    • ability to work independently and proactively;
