Women's Protection and Empowerment (WPE) Program Community Mobilizer will lead all outreach, outreach, risk reduction and community mobilization efforts. The main activities include dissemination of information, assessment of risks faced by women and girls in target communities and development of response strategies, capacity building of community members.
Place of work- Odesa
In particular, the community mobilizer will be responsible for:
- Adherence and active promotion of an approach focused on supporting women, girls, as well as the guiding principles of combating gender-based violence.
- Identification of key protection risks and mitigation/reduction measures
- Identification of barriers to access to available services for vulnerable/special groups and initiation of measures to reduce/eliminate these barriers.

- Organization of community meetings as needed to disseminate information or for other purposes.
- Tracking any changes and protection trends in the community.
- Encouraging and developing social cohesion among the host community and IDP communities
- Maintaining positive coordination and relationships with partners and other sector staff.
- Through regular community outreach activities, building and maintaining relationships with communities, including local leaders, various groups and stakeholders to facilitate support for women, girls and victims of gender-based violence.
- Support the advocacy team in conducting assessments and other activities that assess risk.
- Evaluate topics, that meet the needs of the community, particularly women and girls.
- Ensure and strengthen appropriate safe and confidential referrals for survivors of GBV.
- Weekly activity reporting as directed by the prevention specialist Women's protection programs.
Requirements:
- Language: mandatory Ukrainian; preferably English
- Higher education in the field of social work, human rights, social sciences, public health, humanities or other related field
- Demonstrated experience in community service, mobilization and community engagement, as well as working with women and girls affected by military conflict.
- A clear understanding and interest in the well-being of women and girls, as well as supporting their healing after experiences of violence.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations when needed and support the Women's Defense team in providing any support when needed.
- Experience facilitating group events, trainings and workshops and mentoring others.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries
- Positive and professional attitude including ability to work productively in a team
- Computer proficiency , including Microsoft Word and Excel
