BF "Right to Defense"(Foundation) is a leading humanitarian public organization that works comprehensively to solve the problems of forced displacement and migration, their causes and consequences. Our activities are aimed at protecting the rights of refugees, forced migrants, stateless persons and socially vulnerable population groups.
none">The Co-Coordinator of the Fund's Protection Cluster will work with the Protection Cluster Coordinator of the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ukraine to support the Cluster's coordinating role. The co-coordinator will work on improving the representation of local and national NGOs in the activities of the Cluster (localization), strengthening advocacy in the field of protection and building cooperation with state authorities. style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Coordination of the initiative to build the capacity of national and local authorities, partners and civil society in the field of protection (localization);
Supporting coordination with government partners and other relevant bodies;
Facilitating Cluster meetings and its representation at meetings with industry and external partners, authorities and other stakeholders;
Determining the main advocacy issues for the Cluster based on consultations: facilitating joint cluster/intercluster initiatives to ensure regular and consistent advocacy;
Contributing to the strengthening of national legislation on internal displacement and the search for long-term solutions;
Ensuring the support of the Cluster to issue regular updates and information sheets on the issues of protection of the affected population, response measures, and relevant recommendations;
Assistance in consistent interpretation and application of international law and relevant legal standards of the IPC and protection policy;
Participation in inter-cluster meetings, working groups and subgroups for the integration of defense issues;
Promoting protection training for Cluster members, other local partners and relevant authorities;
Facilitating the coordination and conduct of cluster or inter-cluster assessments of protection needs, including assessment with the participation of the affected population;
Ensuring that Cluster activities adhere to age, gender and diversity guidelines;
Promoting the Cluster's compliance with international human rights documents, the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement, as well as other relevant international and regional documents;
Cluster support to guarantee the provision of information to the protection department and ensure the formation of a general humanitarian response, as well as the integration of protection into the general plan of humanitarian actions of the country's Humanitarian Group;
Providing advocacy, methodological and organizational support to co-coordinators and coordinators of Cluster hubs;
As required to perform other duties.
Reporting and accountability:
Co-coordinator of the Fund's Protection Cluster reports to the President of the Fund and the Program Directorof the Fund.
Preparation of high-quality and timely reports in accordance with the instructions of management and donors within the agreed deadlines;
Compliance with all relevant policies and procedures of the Foundation.
Good understanding of the approach and architecture of the UN humanitarian cluster;
Experience in developing strategic documents and conducting assessments;
Excellent analytical skills and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
Ability to work well under pressure and in adverse conditions;
Performance of duties guided by gender sensitivity and zero tolerance of sexual harassment;
Psychological support.
