SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian NGO which, for more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their vital needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly involved in the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the first cause of death in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of ​​food security and livelihoods . Present in around twenty countries, SI's teams - 2000 people in total made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at headquarters, and a few volunteers - work with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultures.

The Program Manager (after- Multisectoral PM)supports the Solidarites International (SI) in Mykolaiv base to achieve their overall operational results, with a focus on Multisectoral specific activities (WASH and Shelter, Emergency response) sector goals.

Together with the Field Coordinator and the Multisectoral team, the PM provides operational support and oversight of projects registered by the organization in the area. In addition, the Multisectoral PM helps to manage SI's projects in the area of multisectoral activities, including water, sanitation and hygiene and shelter, by monitoring results, reporting, identifying lessons learned and disseminating knowledge to SI staff, as well as sector partners and donors.

KEYS RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

 Project Management:

• With the Coordinator, help to ensure the technical relevance, cost-efficiency, and quality of SI’s Multisectoral projects;
• Support the Base  to identify equipment, supply, and service needs for WASH/SHL projects, and work with Logistics, Grants, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery;
• Analyse programme information gathered from projects and recommend ways to strengthen and improve SI’s WASH and Shelter interventions;
• Develop tools and provide trainings to field teams to ensure the quality of implemented projects;
• Collect and review project activity tracking reports from Base  and use the data to help prepare high-quality activity and progress reports.

Technical support and operational monitoring:

• Planning and executing missions to support Multisectoral projects at the operational office (base) and preparing reports on the results, as well as providing recommendations to the team and leadership at the base;
• Supporting the development and dissemination of Standard Operating Procedures for the activities of the Multisectoral Department (WaSH & Shelter, Emergency);
• Ensuring technical research and specifications for activities;
• Assisting in setting goals and targets for Multisectoral projects and helping to update them;
• Supporting SI project managers and other technical personnel in carrying out tasks related to WaSH, Shelter, and Emergency response, as well as resource planning;
• Providing support to field teams for the implementation of rapid response measures to emergencies, as required by the WaSH and Shelter coordinator;
• Ensuring accountability to local communities and beneficiaries of Solidarites International projects.

 Strategic Orientation:

• Participation in the development and implementation of SI's technical and program strategy in Ukraine at the base level;
• Participation in identifying humanitarian needs and developing appropriate measures to meet those needs in target communities;
• Supporting the development of new project ideas, concept notes, and funding proposals.

Reporting / Communication / Representation:

• Participation in multisectoral working groups, humanitarian cluster coordination processes, and other information networks and exchange platforms – both at the national and international levels, where applicable;
• Collecting, assessing, and disseminating information about Multisectoral activities both externally and internally;
• Ensuring the completeness and regular updates of SI project files (regarding reporting, monitoring, and communication).

 PROFILE FORSAKEN

Studies: Technical diploma or certificate related to Water/Sanitation/Public Health or Building/civil engineering will be an asset.

 Experience: Experience on Project management and on Humanitarian Cluster representation,  Partnerships and relations with National/Local Authorities. Experience on working in INGO or Local NGO.

Language: English - C1 and above, Ukrainian

IT: Microsoft Office package/ Teams. Autocad or related software will be an asset.

Qualification: Experience on proposal and reporting writing.

Soft skills: Experience on team management and capacity building.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Place of work: office in Central part of the Mykolaiv city,  possible business trips to Mykolaiv, Kherson regions.

Contract: fixed-term contract (according to Ukrainian legislation) 

Type of employment: full-time

Salary:  2380 EURO gross (paid in UAH according to the monthly rate of the bank of the European Commission). 

Additionally:  paid vacation 31 calendar days, life insurance.
