In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. With a presence in approximately twenty countries, SI teams—a total of 2,000 people made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent headquarters staff and volunteers—work with professionalism and dedication while respecting cultures.

International< /strong>Solidarity (SI) intends to prevent and combat all forms of abuse by all acts of exploitation, abuse and/or sexual harassment (SEX) against members of beneficiary communities, fraud , corruption, violation of the rights of persons and/or property, financing of activities that harm human rights - which can be carried out within the framework of its intervention. The Chief Program Manager (hereinafter - Multisectoral PM)supports Solidarites International (SI) teams in Ukraine, in particular at the base level in Mykolaiv for achieving overall operational results, focusing on Multisectoral activities (WASH and SHELTER, as well as Emergency Response).

Together with the Field Coordinator and the Multisectoral PM team, provides operational support and oversight of projects implemented by the organization by direction. In addition, the Chief Program Manager helps manage SI projects in multi-sectoral activities, including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and Housing by monitoring results, reporting, identifying lessons learned and disseminating lessons learned to SI staff as well as sector partners and donors .

Multisectoral PM is also involved in the development and implementation of SI technical strategies on WASH and shelter for the areas covered by the base.

KEY REQUIREMENTS LANGUAGES BY JOB Project Management:

  • Together with the coordinator, help to ensure the technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness and quality of SI projects;
  • Identify equipment, supply and service needs for WASH/SHL projects, and collaborate with logistics, training and implementation of grants and finance to ensure timely procurement and delivery;
  • Analyze program information and provide recommendations by strengthening and improving SI accountability measures.
  • Development of tools and training for teams on places for zabeensuring the quality of implemented projects;
  • Collection and review of reports on project activities of regional offices, preparation of coordination reporting based on them.

Technical support and work control:< /strong>

  • Planning and execution of the mission to support Multisectoral projects in the operational office (base) and preparing reports on the results, as well as providing recommendations to the team and management at the base;
  • Support for the development and dissemination of Standard Operating Procedures for the activities of the Multisectoral Department (WaSH&Shelter, Emergency); as well as help in updating them;
  • Supporting SI project managers and other technical staff to perform WaSH&Shelter and Emergency response tasks and resource planning;
  • Supporting field teams to implement rapid response measures to emergencies at the request of the WASH and shelter coordinator;
  • Ensuring accountability to local communities and beneficiaries of Solidarites International projects.

Strategic orientation:

  • Participation in the development and implementation of the technical and program strategy of SI in Ukraine at the base level;
  • Participation in the identification of humanitarian needs and in the development of appropriate measures to meet these needs in the target communities ;
  • Supporting the development of new project ideas, concept notes and funding proposals.

Reporting / communication / representation:

< ul>
  • Participation in multi-sectoral promotion working groups, coordination processes of humanitarian clusters and other information networks and exchange platforms - both at the national and international levels, as appropriate;
  • Collection, evaluation and dissemination information on Multisectoral activities both externally and internally;
  • Providing files of SI software projects (completeness and regularity of updates with information on reporting, monitoring and communication).
  •  Oworld: technical education, related to water supply/sanitation/health care or construction/civil engineering will be an advantage.

    Experience: experience in managing WaSH&Shelter projects and representing a humanitarian cluster , partnerships and relations with national/local authorities (project management)

    Experience of working in an INGO or a local non-governmental organization for at least 1 year.

    Knowledge< languages: English - C1 and above, Ukrainian Knowledge of IT programs /strong>: Microsoft Office/Teams. Autocad or  similar software would be an advantage

    Qualification: experience writing proposals and reports.

    Personal qualities: Team management experience. 

    TERMSWORK

    Place jobs: work in an office in the Central part of the city of Mykolaiv, possible business trips to Mykolaivsk, Kherson region. 

    Contract: fixed-term employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation)

    Salarysalary: 2380 EUR before tax (paid in hryvnias, according to the monthly exchange rate of the bank of the European Commission).

    KEYS RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION

     Project Management:

    • With the Coordinator, help to ensure the technical relevance, cost-efficiency, and quality of SI’s Multisectoral projects;
    • Support the Base  to identify equipment, supply, and service needs for WASH/SHL projects, and work with Logistics, Grants, and Finance teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery;
    • Analyse programme information gathered from projects and recommend ways to strengthen and improve SI’s WASH and Shelter interventions;
    • Develop tools and provide trainings to field teams to ensure the quality of implemented projects;
    • Collect and review project activity tracking reports from Base  and use the data to help prepare high-quality activity and progress reports.

    Technical support and operational monitoring:

    • Planning and executing missions to support Multisectoral projects at the operational office (base) and preparing reports on the results, as well as providing recommendations to the team and leadership at the base;
    • Supporting the development and dissemination of Standard Operating Procedures for the activities of the Multisectoral Department (WaSH & Shelter, Emergency);
    • Ensuring technical research and specifications for activities;
    • Assisting in setting goals and targets for Multisectoral projects and helping to update them;
    • Supporting SI project managers and other technical personnel in carrying out tasks related to WaSH, Shelter, and Emergency response, as well as resource planning;
    • Providing support to field teams for the implementation of rapid response measures to emergencies, as required by the WaSH and Shelter coordinator;
    • Ensuring accountability to local communities and beneficiaries of Solidarites International projects.

     PROFILE FORSAKEN

    Studies: Technical diploma or certificate related to Water/Sanitation/Public Health or Building/civil engineering will be an asset.

     Experience: Experience on Project management and on Humanitarian Cluster representation,  Partnerships and relations with National/Local Authorities. Experience on working in INGO or Local NGO.

    Language: English - C1 and above, Ukrainian

    IT: Microsoft Office package/ Teams. Autocad or related software will be an asset.

    Qualification: Experience on proposal and reporting writing.

    Soft skills: Experience on team management and capacity building.
