HALO Trust is currently recruiting candidates for the position of
Cartorgaf-Fahivets/rank of GIS department of the city of Mykolaiv strong> to support the performance of work on clearing territories from land mines and explosive objects.
Main duties:
- General support for operational database;
- Providing support to non-technical survey teams in the process of creating non-technical survey reports (preparation of maps, schemes, checking the shape of polygons to avoid intersections, etc.);
- Creation and periodic updating of paper maps for briefings and other office needs;
- Preparation of printed paper maps according to the needs of operational management for use in the fields;
- Checking the quality of data in daily paper reports in documentation sets of demining sites at the end of the operational cycle;
- Providing feedback to demining teams, non-technical survey and other operational personnel to improve the accuracy of data collected;
- Checking work cards at the end of the operational cycle;
- Scanning of working maps, their geographical reference;
- Checking the quality of data collected by operational staff before entering into the internal database;
- Providing the necessary information from the database upon request for documentation of the process of completion of works at the demining site;
- Preparation of evacuation plans in cooperation with the chief physician;
- Preparation of statistical data and maps for reports to donors;
- Other tasks assigned by the GIS Analyst, Operations Manager and/or Program Manager.
Osnew requirements:
- Experience using GIS software (ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap) at the level of a confident user.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems or related disciplines.
- Minimum work experience in similar positions of 1-2 years.

Ordered military registration document (attested, military ID card updated and marked withTCC and SP).
- Oral and written Ukrainian, knowledge of English will be an advantage.

- Official salary - 50375.00 ;
