General information
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Foundation) is a charitable organization that focuses its activities on providing assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs), victims of war, refugees and stateless persons. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and monitors the situation of protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal assistance and strengthening the humanitarian response in 22 regions of Ukraine, and also promotes changes in the national legal base, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.
The project "Complex services for the protection of the civilian population affected by hostilities and improving the resilience skills of workers who come to help first" aims to protect and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, war-affected populations, stateless persons, and veterans and their families at the national, local, and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.
The geography of activity includes the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.
The main purpose of the work of the Career Consultant is to help increase the level of employment of stateless persons (beneficiaries) of the project by providing employment consultations, support in the preparation of resumes and support in the search process work, as well as facilitating access to state and other employment support programs.
Duties and tasks
The career consultant is responsible for:
Accompanying beneficiaries to government institutions (in particular, employment centers) as needed.
Providing information on employee rights, employment conditions and professional development opportunities.
Establishment of contacts between beneficiaries and potential employers.
Keeping records of consultations and preparing reports in accordance with project requirements.
If necessary to perform other tasks related to project implementation.
Comply with the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.
Professional Requirements
Higher education in the field of social work, psychology, pedagogy, personnel management, economics, law or related areas.
Work experience in the field of career counseling, social work, employment or working with vulnerable groups of the population will be an advantage.
Understanding employment processes and the labor market in Ukraine.
Experience in resume preparation and job search consulting will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with different categories of the population.
Ability to analyze the individual needs of beneficiaries and assist in finding suitable employment opportunities.
Excellent command of the Ukrainian language, both orally and in writing.
High level of organization and responsibility.
Teamwork and effective communication skills.
Adherence to confidentiality principles and ethical standards in working with beneficiaries.
Having a driver's license and own car will be an advantage.
Readiness for business trips within the region.
