Save Ukraine is the largest humanitarian organization aimed at supporting families in Ukraine. Founded in 2014, the mission of "Save Ukraine" is to protect children and families affected by the war. Our activities are aimed at helping the most vulnerable Ukrainians: orphans, children with disabilities, internally displaced persons and victims of violence. We are evacuating families from the front line and from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia. We are the only humanitarian organization that regularly organizes rescue missions to return forcibly deported children to Ukraine. "Save Ukraine" unites dozens of organizations and hundreds of volunteers to help those affected by the war and rebuild their lives.

Currently, the team at "Save Ukraine" is looking for a Buyer, logistician

List of duties of a buyer - logistician:

  • Needs analysis and procurement planning:
    • Determining the company's short-term and long-term procurement needs.
    • Collecting information about needs from various departments, such as warehouses and project requests.
    • Estimating the availability of necessary resources in warehouses and from other sources (sponsorships, grants, etc.).
  • Working with suppliers:
    • Formation and maintenance of a database of suppliers.
    • Negotiations with suppliers regarding terms of supply, prices and terms.
    • Evaluation and selection of the best suppliers based on the analysis of quality, cost and reliability.
  • Conduct of tenders:
    • Preparation of tender documentation, including in English.
    • Coordination of tender processes and monitoring of their implementation.
    • Evaluation of offers and selection of the best options.
  • Documentation and reporting:
    • Preparation and maintenance of documentation for each of the project.
    • Creating reports on purchases made and their compliance with project budgets.
    • Ensuring transparency and accuracy in reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including donors.
  • Monitoring of the market and procurement platforms:
    • Analysis of various procurement platforms and choosing the best platforms for making purchases.
    • Monitoring market trends and prices for the necessary goods and services.
  • Participation in the preparation of grant applications:
    • Providing information on the prices of goods and services for the preparation of grant applications.
    • Cooperation with the department responsible for writing grants, to accurately reflect procurement needs in applications.
  • Coordination with other departments:
    • Interaction with various departments of the company to obtain the necessary information and ensure an effective procurement process.
    • A single focal point for gathering information and managing procurement processes.
  • Ensuring complianceand policies and procedures:
    • Adherence to internal policies and procedures of the company in the field of procurement.

We expect:

  • One year of experience in procurement.
  • Experience with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Spreadsheets).
  • Skills analytical work and calculation of the optimal order.
  • Experience in preparing tender documentation
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and work in a team.
  • Ability to work with large volumes of information and documentation.
  • Knowledge of English at the Intermediate level and above.
  • Experience in an NGO will be an advantage.
