Business Analyst/Product Owner (contract cooperation) in VYB

Project DescriptionThis is an involvement for multiple with focus on Tourism, Real Estate and Government Entities in UAE.The timeline for this cooperation is until the end of 2024 with possible prolongation on a full-time basis.The candidate will be nested in large projects that typically have multiple products running in parallel. Ideally, the candidates will be able to manage the product on behalf of the client's Senior Product Manager who will only oversee the strategy and check-in on progression, but aligning to the strategy, doing research, proposing features based on need, backlog management, etc., would be done by the candidate.You will be working with Designers, Developers and Content Makers.‌Experience RequirementsMinimum 3 years of experience in Business Analyst or Product Owner position in IT;Experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments and leading sprint ceremonies;Skilled in stakeholder interviews, workshops, and translating business needs into Epics and User Stories;Experience in conducting market analysis, competitive research, and industry trend reports;Creating, managing, and prioritizing product backlogs; defining sprint goals and scope;Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Trello, Balsamiq, Axure, or Figma;Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;Relevant certifications (e.g., CSPO, PMI-PBA) are a plus.Objectives of the RoleEnsures tactical and operational plan is aligned with Product strategy and long-term vision;Ensure the development team is equipped with the necessary information and guidance to deliver high-quality products that meet business needs and stakeholder requirements;Ensure that the solution delivered by the development team meets the acceptance criteria and satisfies stakeholder requirements;Conduct thorough product research to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for new featuresKey ResponsibilitiesGather solution requirements via stakeholder interviews and workshops.Prepare and deliver product research reports, including market analysis and recommendations.Define and prioritize product and team backlogs.Translate product strategy into Epics, Stories, and define Sprint Goals and scope.Stay updated on market trends and customer needs.Act as a liaison between business and development teams, providing timely answers to queries.Evaluate and provide feedback on development work, and verify business analyst specifications.Advocate for business and user needs, clarifying business needs, and producing product specifications.Develop product requirements and solution specifications, and simplify them for the development team.Collaborate to ensure understanding of specifications and address gaps in product features.Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Create, manage, and prioritize the product backlog, and participate in sprint ceremonies.Assess change requests, define solutions, and share the product/business vision with the team.Ensure seamless sprint and project releases, define metrics, and monitor product performance.Update Product Manager and Business Teams on progress, and work with the tech team to produce key deliverables.Support Product Manager in strategy and roadmap, create release plans, and lead planning and review meetings.Act as a backup for Product Manager/Business Analyst when needed.Key DeliverablesEpics and User Stories that align with business needs and stakeholder requirements;Tactical roadmap (proposal of goals & scope for releases & sprints in accordance to strategic roadmap);Prioritized Backlog;High-level acceptance criteria and assumptions for solution options;Acceptance of implemented Stories;Clear and concise product specifications that align with business needs and stakeholder requirements;Well-organized product backlog with prioritized user stories and acceptance criteria;Sprint scope that meets business needs and stakeholder requirements;Successful UAT results that meet stakeholder requirements;Updated product progress reports to the Product Manager and Business Teams;Product research reports and summaries detailing market analysis, competitive research, industry trends, and recommendations.
