Business analyst (GovTech) in Indigo Tech recruiters

Our client, the Office of Veteran Policy Support of the Department of Veterans Affairs, is looking for a business analyst.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Study and describe the current business processes related to the provision of services to war veterans and propose their optimization.
• Develop new business processes according to the needs of automation and integration of digital solutions.
• Form detailed diagrams of business processes using BPMN, UML or other relevant methodologies.
• Collect, structure and analyze requirements from all stakeholders (Ministry of Veterans, veteran communities, government agencies, developers, etc.).
• Document technical requirements (BRD, User Stories, Use Cases, etc.).
• Develop functional specifications and technical tasks.
• Analyze current legislation that regulates support for war veterans, social services and digital interaction of the state with citizens.
• Ensure compliance of future digital solutions with legal regulations and security policies.
• Model interfaces and interactive forms for work with digital services.
• Interact with UX/UI designers to develop the interface.
• Maintain and update the project backlog, prioritize tasks according to strategic goals and resources.
• Prepare project documentation, including technical requirements for developers and testers, specifications, instructions, operational documentation.
• Collaborate with the project manager, ensuring the consistency of tasks with the overall project concept.
• Create analytical reports that help make management decisions.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence, Jira or other specified systems.
• Participate in testing the functionality of digital services, check the compliance of the implemented functionality with the requirements.
• Analyze feedback from users and suggest improvements.

Candidate requirements:

• Higher or undergraduate degree in IT or engineering (or related fields).
• More than two years of experience in business process analytics.
• Experience writing technical tasks, requirements, specifications and operational documentation for IT products.
• Understanding software design and development, experience in its implementation will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and UML notations.
• Experience with Notion, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience using interface modeling products (Axure, Figma) will be an advantage.
• Experience in business process modeling (Cawemo) - will be an advantage.
• Experience of working with government bodies (clarification of requirements, conducting presentations) - will be an advantage.
• Developed organizational skills and attention to details.
• Experience of communication and interaction with users, customers.
• Communication and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge English will be an advantage.
