It is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been developing and implementing emergency and post-emergency response programs since 1994 situations and further development. These programs are in the areas of water supply, hygiene and sanitation, civil engineering (housing), food security, rural development (livelihoods), social protection and education protection. Specialized TGH teams work in 11 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
TGH in Ukraine:
TGH has been operating in Ukraine since June 2016 year Having started work in Kramatorsk to support the most vulnerable sections of the population affected by the conflict in Donbass, TGH continued to provide assistance to those affected by the outbreak of full-scale war from February 2022 to October 2024 through four operational bases: in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Lviv, which provided humanitarian assistance through protection activities (case management, legal and psychosocial assistance) and basic needs (MPCA, shelter, WASH). Since October 2024, the TGH coordination office is located in Kyiv and focuses on protection and shelter in the eastern region, supporting people in need in Kharkiv, Donetsk (PUT) and Zaporizhzhia regions from its operational base in Dnipro through direct and indirect implementation . As a global communications specialist, in parallel TGH is also looking to expand its recovery/resilience program in the central and western regions.
TASKS AND DUTIES
General purpose of the position:
Under the guidance of the Basic Needs Manager, the Basic Needs Specialist will be responsible for:
- Contributing in all measures of multi-vector assistance (with provision of housing, non-food assistance, monetary assistance and water supply, sanitation and hygiene), including planning, implementation, monitoring carried out by TGH in Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
- Ensuring implementation of measures in proper coordination with other entities, local authorities and other relevant parties
Responsibilities:
, including distribution of non-food items, insulation and light repairs for households/collective centers;
Coordination and external representation< /u>
- Cooperate within the organization with the coordinator and other departments as needed;
- Take the initiative in integrating with other TGH programs, including the activities of the Protection department

- Ensure external coordination with all relevant stakeholders, including other actors and local authorities;
- Represent TGH at external meetings such as cluster meetings and other relevant technical meetings. >
Logistics/Finance
- Prepare internal procurement requests and donor approval requests and take initiative in tracking the procurement process;
- Create and provide travel plans and aid distribution plans for the logistics team with intelligent forecasting.
REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Experience in a similar position;
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language;
- Basic computer skills computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- High interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to solve problems;
