ASSIGNMENT
IMPACT has been active in Ukraine since 2015, working primarily in government-controlled and non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk. Following the full-scale invasion in February 2022, IMPACT significantly scaled-up its activities, operating across the whole country to support evidence-based planning and prioritisation. NGOs), with employment beginning on April 15, 2026. responsibilities of a Research Analyst and a Trainer working with local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that are IMPACT partners. You will be part of the Localization Team, and your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Research and Analysis
- Planning and conducting research activities (both quantitative and qualitative, with a stronger focus on qualitative research)
- Analyzing primary and secondary data and preparing analytical products and presentations
- Designing and adapting data collection tools (questionnaires, surveys, interview and FGD guides)
- Coordinating data collection together with the field team
- Ensuring data quality and compliance with internal Monitoring & Evaluation procedures
- Preparing research findings for dissemination and contributing to presentations of results
2. Training and Partnership Work with Local NGOs
- Assessing training needs of local civil society organizations
- Designing training programs, agendas and materials (online and in-person)
- Organizing and delivering trainings for partner NGOs (often independently and with business trips to other cities)
- Working closely with local NGOs throughout all stages of joint assessments, from planning to publication
- Supporting the grant application selection process and maintaining communication with applicants
- Providing targeted capacity-building support to NGOs (mentoring, consultations, follow-up activities)
- Collecting and analysing feedback from trainings and partnership activities
3. External Communication and Representation
- Representing the organisation at meetings, working groups and events within the humanitarian sector
- Communicating with current and potential partners, including local and international organisations
- Contributing to a positive reputation of the organisation through professional and ethical engagement
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in social sciences, political sciences, social research or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in research, data analysis and/or preparation of analytical reports
- Experience in preparing presentations and analytical materials for different audiences (experience presenting to partners or donors is an asset)
- Experience in designing, organising and delivering trainings for civil society organisations
- At least 1 year of experience working with local NGOs and/or public authorities in a humanitarian context
- Understanding of dataset structures, basic work with tables and frequency tables; ability to analyse qualitative data
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe tools (InDesign is an asset but not required)
- Experience in managing and coordinating professional relationships with multiple partners and stakeholders
- English proficiency at Intermediate level (B1) or higher
