Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights (hereinafter - UMPD)was created to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.Tasks:ensuring systematic monitoring of legislation in the field of children's rights, preparation of analytical materials, brief reviews and shadow reports, as well as development of recommendations for UMPD based on interim and final analysis results.R

Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights (hereinafter - UMPD)was created to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.

Tasks:ensuring systematic monitoring of legislation in the field of children's rights, preparation of analytical materials, brief reviews and shadow reports, as well as development of recommendations for UMPD based on interim and final analysis results.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular monitoring of legislation and regulatory acts in the field of children's rights;
  • Preparation of monthly and biweekly analytical reviews of legislative changes;
  • Preparation of short analytical notes (policy briefs / explainers) and intermediate materials;
  • Comparative analysis of policies and international practitioners;
  • Preparation and support of 4 final shadow reports on the state of compliance with children’s rights (2026–2028) with interim drafts and analytical notes;
  • Development of recommendations for improving legislation and policies based on interim and final analytical materials;
  • Preparation of analytical reports and contributions to position documents UMPD;
  • Providing operational information and analytics upon request;
  • Coordinating and agreeing analytical materials with the Customer;
  • Performing other tasks within the project to ensure quality monitoring and analytical support.

 Requirements:

  • higher education in the field of law, social sciences, public administration or related fields;
  • ability to translate complex legal norms into clear explanations;
  • ability to transform legislation into practical recommendations;
  • skills to identify risks, gaps and regulatory consequences;
  • systematic and analytical thinking;
  • ability to work with large amounts of information;
  • ability to formulate conclusions succinctly;
  • experience in legislation analysis (policy/legal analysis);
  • knowledge of the field of child rights protection;
  • understanding of deinstitutionalization reforms and social services;
  • knowledge of international standards (UN, EU) - an advantage;
  • high level of written Ukrainian languages;
  • ability to write clearly, structured and without excessive legal complexity;
  • knowledge of the English language to work with international sources.
