We need to continue this work together with the author: not just maintain the code, but research, launch, test hypotheses, look for infrastructure and reach a practical result.
Who I am looking for
Me it doesn't matter how many years you've been in commercial development. Another thing is much more important:
- you already had a live completed project that reached a practical result;
- you are not afraid of unknown technologies and can quickly immerse yourself in a new topic;
- you are AI-friendly: you perceive ChatGPT, Codex and other tools as strengthening yourself, and not as a threat;
- you can move a large piece independently work forward;
- you have a basic understanding of programming in any language (web technologies are welcome);
- you are interested in understanding not only the code, but also why the system works or does not work.
This will be a match if you:
- love "vibecoding", and you also know how to bring it to a working result;
- you know how to combine AI, code, logs, documentation, API, scripts, services and experiments into one working system;
- you don’t get lost when you have to read Python today, Pine Script tomorrow, the day after tomorrow REST API of the exchange, and then look for infrastructure for a production launch.
It will be valuable to hear from you for example: "this is where the backtest lies", "here is the problem with execution", "this is where fees/liquidity/partial executions break the model". Because we will constantly make decisions based on your judgments. And the result and success of the project will depend on how much the truth is on your side.
What will need to be done in the first month.
The main task at the start is to take two existing strategies that look promising on the backtests and translate them into real implementation.
The first tasks:
- Launch the strategies on the real exchange;
- Find and assemble the infrastructure that will allow these signals to be executed correctly in the real environment;
- Compare the live result with the backtest;
- If the strategies show plus or close to the expected dynamics, understand how real trading matches with the model;
- If the strategies do not work, explain why. Not "it just didn't fly", but to explain the reason: execution gap, commissions, slippage, delays, logic errors, backtest problems, market mode, etc.
I am not looking for just a coder, but a person who will help to separate the real signal from self-deception.
What is important to know / be able to.
Required:
- basic programming in any language;
- ability to read other people's code and quickly adapt;
- willingness to work a lot with AI assistants;
- analytical thinking
- independence;
- interest in crypto, automation or algorithmic systems.
Will be a big plus:
- Python;
- Pine Script / TradingView;
- experience with exchanges or APIs;
- automation experience;
- startup experience a pet project that has already brought benefits or money;
- experience working in a small team or solo.
Who is this role best suited to:
- a student or junior developer with a strong growth rate;
- a self-taught engineer who has already made something alive with his own hands;
- a person who gets high from a fast cycle: came up with > assembled > checked > understood > redone;
- to someone who wants to work next to a founder / technical partner, and not get lost in a big bureaucratic team.
What I offer:
- very practical tasks, where you can see result;
- close cooperation with me without unnecessary managerial layers;
- the opportunity to grow quickly on a real complex R&D project;
- freedom in tools and technologies;
- work in an environment where AI is the norm, not a taboo;
- a chance to move strongly in the direction where engineering, data, automation, trading infrastructure and product thinking.
If you feel that this is about you - give feedback!
Send a resume or links to GitHub / pet projects / any real results - very welcome.
I'm more important to see how you think and what you've already done (la) than a formal experience.
