General description of the vacancy

The vacancy involves work in the field of IT infrastructure maintenance and the provision of consulting services regarding the systems and software complexes used in the MOU. 

ONLY for reserve officers with the signing of a contract before the announcement of the decision on demobilization and appointment to a position in one of the MOU units.

Main functions

• Administration and development of the CommVault backup and recovery system. 
• Configuration and maintenance of a fault-tolerant geographically distributed backup and recovery solution based on the CommVault product. 
• Interaction with service administrators to create plans and instructions for restoring systems and services. 
• Monitoring the performance of the solution and the success of backup and recovery operations. 
• Execution of test restorations of systems and system databases with service and system administrators. 
• Service documentation and assistance in formulating requirements for backup and recovery processes. 
• Planning and design of the disaster recovery system.
• Planning of equipment and software for the operation of the backup system. 
• Participation in projects to implement military services and systems. 
• Close cooperation with cyber security specialists.

Basic requirements

• Experience in the administration of backup systems and restoring CommVault 
• Ability to automate work using PowerShell scripts and documentation. 
• Understanding the principles of operation of basic services and protection systems. 
• Ability to administer and understand the structures of Windows and Unix systems. 
• Ability to administer and restore databases (MS SQL, Oracle).
• Ability to use monitoring systems to prevent problems. 
• Have experience in the design and implementation of systems recovery and disaster recovery. 
• Experience in the administration of backup systems of the organization from 20+ servers.   
• Experience of working in systems with a distributed architecture of 2+ sites.          
• Experience in working with clusters and other systems to improve fault tolerance and high availability. 
• Calculation of the number of required licenses and meetings with software manufacturers. 
• Official certifications are welcome.

• Military service under contract, all types of military support , office in the center of Kyiv (5/2 9-18), official housing is not provided.
