Test Engineer – Smart TV/OTT Application Testing (2-6 Yrs) || WORK FROM OFFICE IRC168997 in GlobalLogic

Description:

Assist in the certification process for devices to ensure compatibility.

Troubleshoot issues to the root cause and provide detailed bug reports.

Automate simple & repetitive manual tests.

Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.

Executing tests on software usability.

Analyzing test results on errors or bugs, and usability.

Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and report to team.

Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.

Requirements:

Must Have:

Experience working with Smart TVs and/or Set-top Box(STB) or any Multimedia Products.

Experience in OTT Application Testing.

Wireless networking knowledge including configuring and testing routers.

Broadcasting Standard Knowledge – ATSC, DVB, MPEG.

Experience in writing and executing test plans for consumer electronics.

Job Responsibilities:

Mandatory Requirments :

Candidate must have 2-6 years expierence in Software Testing.

Education Background: BE/B.Tech in E&C, CS, or equal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.

Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.

Experience in QA and testing methodologies & processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

Must be a self-starter who is extremely organized and detail-oriented, enjoys technology, and can work in a team environment.

Flexible, adaptable and a fast learner; ability to analyze a situation and to change timelines, strategies and/or requirements as needed and with short notice.

Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results.

Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.

Tools – JIRA, TestRail or any other Bug tracking tool and Test Management Tool.
