About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Quality Assurance Engineer to assist with testing software and hardware for major product releases of our client.

You will be responsible for testing the new products in early development phases, certifying compatible partner devices and running tests to support manufacturing.

You should be able to represent QA concerns in meetings with cross-functional, project team members and also provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience.

You should have experience with a variety of testing techniques, strong written and organizational skills and networking experience.

You will perform an effective and organized test process that releases the highest quality product possible, and help bring those projects to market on time.

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of Relevant Experience in Manual Testing/QA

• Experience in writing and executing QA test plans for software or consumer electronics products.

• Education Background: BE/B.Tech in E&C, CS, or equal.

• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.

• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.

• Experience in QA and testing methodologies & processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

• Should have good understanding of software and bug lifecycle.

• Must be a self-starter who is extremely organized and detail-oriented, enjoys technology, and can work in a team environment.

• Flexible, adaptable and a fast learner; ability to analyze a situation and to change timelines, strategies and/or requirements as needed and with short notice.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high quality results.

• Tools – JIRA, TestRail or any other Bug tracking tool and Test Management Tool.

• Review product specifications for manual test planning and analysis to prepare and execute test cases for new products/features ensuring adequate test coverage.

• Reproduce, isolate, and debug issues seen in development and production, providing detailed bug reports.

• Record all test results for each test suite and provide a high-level summary for areas tested.

• Support and work with external partners to successfully launch co-branded products.

• Assist in the certification process for partner devices to ensure compatibility with Roku

• Interface with beta users and triage bug.

Required Skill Sets:

• Experience working with Smart TVs and/or Set-top Box (STB) or any Multimedia Products.

• Broadcasting Standard Knowledge – ATSC, DVB, MPEG.

• Experience in writing and executing test plans for consumer electronics.

• In depth experience of working on embedded Linux systems

• Python programming experience for automation.

• Hands-on experience with white box & automation testing.

• Wireless networking knowledge including configuring and testing routers.
