Description:

We are looking for Test Engineer to join us and take part in our new project related to testing Linux system.

The team will be involved in an international project with an objective to provide a bespoke embedded operating system distribution.

The system under development requires performance monitoring when used under load conditions. Client expects us to design, implement and deploy automated tests that would put system components in stress and monitor for bottlenecks. One of the essential requirements for stress test development is to make them configurable both for short and long haul testing. It is expected to detect, describe and report various problems related to general system performance.

Requirements:

• deep understanding and experience with Linux-powered embedded systems, proven working experience with Linux development and/or testing
• proven experience in stress, duration and performance tests of Linux components (eg. CPU usage, memory usage)
• strong QA background: experience in the designing test plans and test specifications, ‘QA mindset’
• fluency in bash scripting
• fluence in python scripting
• good English language, at least B2 (both written and spoken)

Nice-to-have, winning skills:

• experience with Yocto

Job Responsibilities:

Project aims to create a new, customized Linux distribution based on the Yocto model. You will be part of the Linux QA team responsible for testing and monitoring system components, specifically from performance, load and stress perspective in order to identify bottlenecks or crashes in the system.

As a senior person, you will not only execute but also design, plan and invent tests as well as help less experienced QA engineers.
