Senior Automation QA Engineer with Performance Engineer skills IRC167406 in GlobalLogic

Description:

A compliance and social security solution which integrates with social and collaboration networks to collect, archive, analyze, and take action on any posts that bear potential risk to organization. Other part of the solution allows to search for and identify fake or fraudulent accounts in social networks, identifies suspicious or bot activity against a monitoring account, gives an ability to take action on the identified threat (block, request take-down, etc.).

This is a Web solution which includes sites, web services, cloud storage, mobile applications and integrates several third-party solutions.

Requirements:

Must:

– 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing;

– Programming experience in Java;

– Familiarity with relational DBs (e.g., Oracle, Postgres), their tuning experience would be a plus;

– Experience in setting up the functional testing process; similar experience with non-functional testing would be a plus;

– Willingness to grow as Performance Test Engineer;

– Good theoretical knowledge in performance testing basic concepts, methodology, approaches, metrics, and best practices;

– Good skills in issue investigation and root cause analysis;

– Hands-on experience with any performance testing tool (e.g., JMeter, BlazeMeter, Gatling);

– Good experience with Linux and shell programming

Plus:

– Basic practical experience in Performance Testing;

– Working knowledge of building and testing with CI/CD pipeline;

– Experience with NoSQL DBs (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB) and indexing services (e.g., ElasticSearch, Solr);

– Experience with AWS Cloud;

– Experience with RabbitMQ;

– Experience with Docker Swarm or Kubernetes;

– Experience with Datadog or similar tools

Preferences:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Research and implement capacity planning, test strategy, test tools, test data definition, data

seeding, and data scrubbing.

2. Perform load/stress/endurance tests to validate application/system performance and stability.

3. Provide technical assessments to improve system performance, capacity, reliability, and scalability.

4. Oversee system performance lifecycle, establish the performance baseline, and identify key metrics for performance improvements.

5. Perform root cause analysis of performance abnormalities/issues and suggest corrective actions.

6. Analyze test results and work with Developers and Engineers to perform bug fixes/improvements.

7. Evaluate system performances and recommend improvements.

8. Design and develop performance test frameworks as part of the delivery pipeline.

9. Produce documentation of performance-related standards and procedures, assessments,

knowledge base, and training materials.

10. Identify important production metrics and generate periodic performance reports for all internal stakeholders and management review.
