We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Operations & Licensing Manager to lead, our multi-jurisdiction licensing strategy across global fintech markets.

About the Role

This is a critical role for a rapidly scaling fintech company navigating complex regulatory landscapes across Europe, Asia, and beyond. You will own the end-to-end licensing process, manage relationships with financial regulators, and ensure our business remains compliant while expanding into new markets. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, can manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously, and has hands-on experience submitting applications to financial authorities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead licensing applications and renewals across multiple jurisdictions (EMI, PSP , MiCA, MSO, SVF , and other payment/crypto licenses).
  • Manage ongoing relationships with financial regulators and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Build and maintain regulatory compliance frameworks and documentation systems.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (legal, product, finance, compliance) to gather required documentation and evidence.
  • Track and interpret regulatory changes across target markets and assess business impact.
  • Develop scalable processes and tools to manage 10+ parallel licensing tracks
  • Prepare regulatory submissions, business plans, and policy documentation to regulator standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven track record submitting at least one financial services license application to a regulatory authority (EMI, PSP , MiCA, MSO, SVF , or equivalent). 
  • Deep understanding of payment services regulation, e-money frameworks, or crypto asset regulation.
  • Exceptional English writing skills with ability to produce regulator-grade documentation.
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Comfortable navigating complex regulatory requirements and deadlines.
  • Preferred QualificationsExperience with EU regulators (EBA, national competent authorities) or Asian financial authorities.
  • Background in fintech, payments, or crypto companies.
  • Basic technical literacy (understanding of APIs, SaaS infrastructure, payment flows).
  • Legal or compliance background.
  • Experience building regulatory operations from the ground up
