Lead Java Developer IRC169277 in GlobalLogic

Description:

We are looking for Lead Java Developer who can join our team, tightly integrated with the Customer and empowered for business and technical decisions. The scope is dedicated to Oracle to PostgreSQL migration.

Technology-wise we keep the application up-to-date: Java 17, Docker and K8s, Spring family, Oracle DB with started migration to PostgreSQL in order to fully support Microservices architecture, React.js as a main approach for UI, micro frontends are planned already.

Our Client is transnational company that owns numerous products within Finance domain.

The product is one of the largest B2B electronic payment network (like Paypal but for businesses only) which operates with payment processing, integration with 3rd party systems (ERP, Security, etc.) and extended invoicing processing.

Business value of the application is a quick transition from paper to electronic payments with a secure, cloud-based payment network for businesses. Integration with different Card payments providers – such as Visa, Masterclass etc. Invoice-to-Pay automation.

Requirements:

Strong Java ORM experience. Experience in Hibernate or Eclipselink. Eclipselink preferred.

Recent experience with Spring

Experience with Cloud Native architecture, containers, k8s.

Unit and Integration test experience with TestNG or Junit.

Familiar with web application automation test tools, Selenium, etc.

Recent Experience with Application Development in Postgres

Historical experience with application development in Oracle. PL/SQL experience a bonus.

Query performance tuning, knowledge of explain plans and how to interpret optimizer executions.

ANSI SQL knowledge

Experience with multi-tenancy applications and secure application development.

Preferred Experience in performing Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations and in helping clients port applications from Oracle to PostgreSQL with alternate approaches that are open source

Preferred Jira experience

Lead Activities:

• Ability to lead and mentor team of 3-4 developers and 2-3 QA.
• Facilitate Code reviews
• Facilitate secure code scans and remediations.

Selenium, Oracle-PL/SQL
