This product is the market leader in data protection, backup, restore, and disaster recovery. The goal of the first project phase is to migrate to WebUI on the modern stack. The migration work is already in progress, it was started by inhouse development, and lots of product modules are already fully functioning in WebUI. We will need to help them complete this migration by doing the migration and ensuring the quality of migrated functionality.

We need an experienced QA engineer who is capable to ensure the high quality of newly migrated features into Web UI applications before handing them over to UAT testing. The candidate should have good technical skills, understand client-server architecture, and be able to configure the required test environment to test various back-ups types (OS/DBs/Servers/etc) and restore them.

Our team is geographically distributed: inhouse developers are in the US, and our team is in Georgia and Poland. We are willing to bring engineers (Frontend and Backend) along with Business Analyst and AQA.

Requirements:

Years of experience 4+

Solid technical background, understanding of client-server architecture, ideally has experience of working with enterprise-level architecture

Practical experience in API testing

Solid understanding of networks

Experience in working with VMware solutions

Attentiveness to details, ability to study non-trivial business logic, consisting of lots of setup/configuration.

English level — minimum B1.

Responsibilities:

Carefully test functionality migrated from old desktop application to new WEB UI application. Ensure it works as expected

Compare functionality in old desktop application with a new one in WEB UI to understand the expected flow

Configure the required test environment to conduct proper testing of backups and their restore

Ensure proper work of implemented APIs in Web UI via Postman/Insomnia

Log defects

Write test documentation

Communicate with the Development team.
