We are seeking an experienced Zendesk Developer/Administrator to configure and maintain our Zendesk ticketing system. The primary responsibility will be implementing advanced approval workflows and automation processes using the Approval plugin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up multi-level approval flows within Zendesk based on hub location, hierarchical structure, and department
  • Configure approval routing to send requests to immediate supervisors, with escalations if no response within set timeframes
  • Ensure approval processes capture all relevant request details for future reference and searchability
  • Build logic to separate and handle requests by department and request type
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand approval requirements across functions
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all workflows and processes
  • Provide training to agents and end-users on using the approval workflows
  • Continuously optimize workflows for efficiency and incorporate new requirements
  • Monitor system health, resolve issues, and provide ongoing administration

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Zendesk Developer/Administrator or a similar role.
  • English level — upper-intermediate or higher
  • Strong understanding of Zendesk’s architecture, APIs, and customization capabilities.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, or Python.
  • Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JSON, REST APIs).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
