Public Broadcasting is looking for a WordPress developer in the Department of Information Technology

Key Features:

• Development of new websites on the WordPress platform from scratch.
• Customization and modification of existing sites to meet customer needs.
• Development, testing and implementation of custom themes and plugins.
• Improving existing functionality by adding new modules or optimizing existing ones.
• Analysis and optimization of website performance.
• Working with performance monitoring tools to identify weak points in the code.
• Design, configuration and optimization of databases (SQL/MySQL).
• Development of requests for extracting and processing data.
• Application of database security practices to protect confidential information.
• Using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create an interactive and user-friendly interface.
• Design adaptation for different devices (adaptability and cross-browser).
• Identification, analysis and correction of technical errors on websites.
• Supporting the stable operation of sites and their security.
• Configuration and integration of APIs for connecting third-party services, such as CRM, analytics or payment systems.
• Working with third-party libraries and services to expand the functionality of sites.
• Maintenance of technical documentation regarding implemented solutions.
• Development of instructions for the team or clients regarding the use of the developed functionality.
• Generating high-quality code with an emphasis on readability, security, and efficiency.
• Participation in technical meetings and project discussions to determine optimal ways to implement tasks.
• Control of updates to WordPress, themes, plugins and server software.

Requirements:

• Commercial work experience in the relevant field.
• Knowledge of the WordPress platform, including setup, customization and optimization.
• Development and customization of custom themes and plugins for WordPress.
• Reliable knowledge and experience with: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Working with databases (SQL/MySQL): design, optimization, writing queries.
• Skills for optimizing the speed and performance of websites.
• Implementation and configuration of API for integration with third-party services.
• Knowledge of the principles of adaptive layout and cross-browser compatibility.
• Basic knowledge of web application security and methods of their protection (protection against SQL injections, XSS).
• Experience with hosting, server configuration and domain management.
• Understanding the basics of UX/UI design to create convenient and functional interfaces.
• Skills in working with WordPress designers (Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).
• Higher technical education (software engineer).
