WASH Project Assistant in ACTED

Goal of work

The WASH Project Assistant will support the activities of the team to ensure the proper implementation of programs with water supply, drainage, sanitation and hygiene (hereinafter WASH).

Responsibilities

1) Project planning

• To participate in the planning and conduct of activities related to communication, coordination and implementation of the project in the designated areas. Provide support at meetings with external participants in the process of project implementation;
• Together with the WASH Project Deputy Coordinator, regularly update work plans, work results and other documents relevant to effective project management.

2) Implementation control project

• Organize meetings and participate in trainings with various stakeholders. 
• Support the technical staff of the WASH Department in the implementation of projects in accordance with ACTED standards and procedures.
• Support the technical staff of the WASH Department in the preparation of specifications, BoQ and tender documents.

3) Administration and operational management project implementation

Logistics

• Together with the Deputy Coordinator of the WASH Project, contribute to the development of procurement plans.
• Ensure proper management and use of project assets and stocks.

Administration / HR

• Brothers participation in the selection of personnel (WASH assistants to other Acted offices)

4) External relations< /u>

• Collaborate with the Deputy WASH Project Coordinator to facilitate communications and linkages for active consultation and engagement beneficiaries, stakeholders, etc. at all stages of project design and implementation.

• Together with the Deputy Coordinator of the WASH Project, build good relations with key actors of humanitarian activities - local and international, including state bodies and non-state actors , by regularly attending technical meetings and bilateral meetings.

 

5) Reporting

• Assist the Deputy Coordinator of the WASH Project in the preparation of periodic and final reports.

• Provide regular and timely progress updates to WASH Deputy Project Manager and other team members.

• Contribute to the development of (internal and external) project progress reports, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information provided

Experience and skills

• 2 yearsof experience in the humanitarian sphere and/or public organizations;
• Availability of higher education, preferably in the field of construction;
• Fluent command of the Ukrainian language, command of the English language at the B1 level;
• li>Computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), programs for working with layouts and design, PDF documents (Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat);
• Ability to work independently and in a team;
• Skills for stress resistance and multi-tasking are a must;

Experience in the field of WASH (Water, sanitation and hygiene), knowledge of the structure of local authorities and self-government will be an advantage.
