Position Description
The Information Processing Specialist will work in the Samaritan's Purse Ukraine (SPUA) office to develop and implement the ability of staff and partners to adhere to organizational policies and best humanitarian practices.< /p>
Job duties
- Assistance in the development and translation of the curriculum on Protection from sexual exploitation and violence;
- Provide sexual exploitation and abuse protection training for SP staff and partners;
- Conduct monitoring visits and calls to project partners and beneficiaries.
- Cooperate with the HR department for the adaptation of new employees.
- Perform all duties with utmost care and confidentiality.
- Gather accurate information and conduct research to write periodic reports that are used to inform Samaritan's Purse management about the overall situation in Ukraine, program activities, security incidents, and other issues.
- Frequent travel to field sites to support, train and coordinate field staff, including training on photography basics, writing skills and collecting beneficiary stories.
- Assist field and office staff in writing and editing beneficiary impact stories related to Samaritan's Purse programs. Stories should reflect the full range of Samaritan's Purse programs in Ukraine and highlight the impact of Samaritan's Purse programs on beneficiaries and the communities in which they live.
- Coordinate trips to Ukraine for visitors from the organization's headquarters, journalists and other persons, as well as accompany them to various field sites (if necessary).
- Consultation and preparation of authorized personnel of the organization before internal and external media interviews.
- Collaborate with the communications department at the organization's headquarters by submitting mission impact stories, relevant program information and media content for use on social media platforms that appropriately reflect the impact of Samaritan's Purse in Ukraine.
- Improve the internal reporting system, which ensures the cascade transfer of information from top to bottom and bottom to top.
- Support in the development and implementation of an effective internal communications system.
- Other tasks as assigned by the deputy regional director of the office.

Education/experience
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Previous work experience in public organizations is desirable
- Above average computer skills (eg Microsoft Office tools).
- Strong communication skills and/or training experience
Language
Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian (written and spoken).
Ability to think

Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of specific variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written form, as well as in the form of oral diagrams or graphs.
